  I lurk there sometimes.  It can make here look like a Sunday School picnic at times.  

The Pacers look broken to me.    PG -  tries to do too much at times IMO   Roy - I am sick to death of seeing him try to lay the ball in when he is in the paint and seeing him get stripped by smaller players.  You are 7'2" play like it.    Lance - is a loose cannon.  When he plays well it looks great and is fun to watch.  When he does not play well his style kills us.    At times I think they look bored with the regular season.  They had better get their heads straight or they are going to end up the two seed again.  I thought they looked like a championship team earlier.  Now I doubt we can beat Miami in the ECF.     I guess following B'twon Banners logic I should blame all of this on Vogle and start questioning him.  :lol:

  Yep, you're too young to get it.  I'll explain.  (I'm doing this from memory without looking anything up, so if anyone wants to add to or correct an error feel free).     One year when the B1G was particularly weak it sent only four teams to the NCAA.  IU was not one of those teams.  The prevailing thought, which turned out to be true, was that the top 3 teams would get in and the fourth team would be the winner of the 4/5 game which was the 4 seed IU and the 5 seed Minny.  This was when there were only 11 teams in the B1G and both the 4 and 5 got a bye to Friday.     IU came out and laid an egg.  I want to say they lost by about 17 points and looked awful.  It was pretty clear at that point Minny was going to be the fourth B1G team in the NCAA.  When asked about IU's tourney chances in his post game press conference Mike Davis said, "We're the 4 seed," about 20+ times.  It was one of his many bizarro pressers.    For many years after being the "4 seed" in the B1G tournament was a frequent IU message board joke.  

  LOL, no.  You're pretty young, right?  That joke might be a little old for you.  

  I'm afraid that at 8-10 in the B1G regular season, we would have to win the B1G tournament to get in.  I think 10-8 would have been a lock, 9-9 puts us in the conversation but we need to win a couple in Indy and maybe get some help.  I'd be glad to be wrong about all of that, but I have a sick feeling we are going to fall just a tad short.

Maybe Cal will team up with his buddy LBJ in the NBA next year.  

It will be 18 straight for me and 21 total.  We have the same post Christmas outlook, March Madness and then Indy.  

IMO at 9-9 we'd have to make it until at least Saturday at the B1G tournament.  That might not even be enough.  The worst thing that can happen is for a team like Wichita St. to lose their conference tournament.     Even if we don't make the NCAA, with the way we are coming on if we can have a strong finish to the year with a strong run in the NIT, then we can have some hope going into next year.  

I agree.  The only sporting event that rivals my love of IU basketball is the Indianapolis 500.  Best day of the year.

I am more of an IndyCar fan than NASCAR, but I do enjoy it.  I also like Formula 1.  

I really don't think we'll win at UM, but what the heck:   IU 65 UM 64
