Him, Deng, and Cunningham or a transfer. IF that happens it could be a lot worse.

I wouldn't mind taking one guy who has to sit out next year, but I hope we don't take more than one. I am not sure I would want this to be the one guy.

As I recall Calbert didn't feel like he was ready at the time and wasn't ready for the extra time involved either. He wanted to stay a dbo for a couple of more years.

Calbert left to be a full fledged assistant instead of a dbo here. He took a step up. It happens all the time.

Chuck, I doubt either of them are gone due to their contracts. They are both overpaid and I doubt anyone would take them. I have some sympathy for Hill because he is being asked to play out of his natural position. Hibbert makes me want to rampage through th street with a torch and baseball bat breaking things. He is weak.

A big or two who can play some defense, get some rebounds, and be just capable enough to keep other teams defenses honest and we might surprise a few people next year...even some here. I believe it can happen, I'm undecided if I think it will. I hope it does.

I know nothing about him other than what I have read here but this sounds like the kind of kid I'd like us to get. A 6'8" juco with a motor. Find one more of these and get Harris from WVU and all things considered this off season, I'd be happy.

Maybe losing the one seed will get them back to playing with a chip on their shoulder like they did in the playoffs last year and even some earlier this year.

Vogle finally had the onions to bench someone. It's about 2 months too late. Now Roy is sulking like a big baby. This team is done. I had tickets for tonight's game. I am glad I decided not to go.

No problem.  Thanks for letting me know.  Now that I think about it, 4 years comes back to me.  I was getting it mixed up with something else.  I think the five year thing applies to Maui and the pre-season NIT, or at least it used to.  

I kind of like the idea. A couple of years ago U of L took one and channel 11, the local ABC station that carries all of their non national games, broadcast the games from the trip. If we do go I would love for BTN to let a crew tag along. I know that is unlikely but I can dream. UL's trip was to Canada so I am sure that would be easier to broadcast than say Istanbul. Isn't there a rule now that if you take one of these trips you can't play in a preseason tournament that coming season? I may be confusing this with something else. I know you can only take one every five years. Our last one was Eric Gordon's season. See how I used him as the reference point and not the coach at the time. :-)

I know the two are nowhere close to being related, but I thought I knew where I wanted to go to college and visited there and was even planning on going there until I visited where I ended up going to college.  We'll see.  

The Pacers being so good gave me a little comfort during IU's disasterous season. Now that the Pacers are turning into a disaster of their own...ugh.

None of what you say changes my initial position.  You can not make a statement about on CTC "toxicity" level based on this kid.  You clearly don't like Crean and you saw a chance to take a shot so you did even though the facts in this case do not support your shot.  That is the junk I am talking about that I grow weary of.      I am not saying you or anyone else has to like Crean or think he is the man for the job.  I'm not saying I do long term.  Like I said, I'm on the fence.  Let's just be fair in the criticism we send his way.  

  We didn't even offer.  I get frustration with Crean, I am frustrated too,  but this is the kind of pot shot I am getting sick of, especially in threads that are not CTC specific.    A kid we don't even offer chooses a school that actually did offer so somehow that negatively reflects on CTC?  C'mon man.  If we had offered you might have a point.  This is just groupthink piling on.       I have been a big CTC guy, but I am really worried about where we are right now.  I'm on the fence now.  I could easily jump to the other side next year, so I have no problem with criticism of the man.  I just think we need to keep it fair.  Making a statement like this based on not getting a kid we never offered is not fair imo.  

Hey, Roy, if you want more shots try getting an offensive rebound when one of the other guys misses and put it back.  

I hope he has been introduced to Je'nay Jackson this weekend.     What I would love to know about this kid is, what kind of motor does he have?  I think sometimes height can be overrated.  I don't want to start a team full of 6'4"-6'5" guys, but I'd rather have some 6'7"-6'-8" guys who have a motor and know how to fight for and get position and have a junkyard dog mentality (I'm looking your way Devin Davis, you see what I just wrote?)  than some 6'10"-6'11" kid who doesn't have a high revving motor and gets pushed around.     If this kid has a motor, I hope we get him.  That's all I really want right now.  I want guys with some fight.  Does he have this?  

After the Spurs put a clinic on at our expense at the Bank tomorrow night, we will be one game behind Miami in the loss column with a trip down there to go and the Thunder coming here.  

I had the same thought yesterday. I wouldn't want to see it every year but I think that is our best blueprint for next year. Stan and Troy are really going to have to improve their shooting though for it to work.
