timing is everything and in addition i think we owe CTC the finish to his contract. We want the kids to stay, we want committs to honor their committs so we must honor ours. We had a down year, we lost two top 5 NBA picks. We developed a lot of youthful talent this year and if hopefully Noah stays to hone himself on the court and develop as a young man as well we get some more talent next year. I like the look of these what will be second and third year folks, gotta believe, gotta believe!!!

Thoughts on a Season of Highs and Lows, and Noah — Will He Stay or Will He Go?
hoosiers62 replied to DocLibby's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I think Noah can only get better. I look at Cody and while he is getting minutes he would have been leading this team much higher and wouldnt he still be a high pick after this year? VO is another story, athlete all the way, makes things happen. I saw Cody play against the Twolves and while he did have stats in every category he was man handled a bit and i see that happening to Noah. He wouldnt be a 5 in the NBA, hard to make him a 4 so 3 is more where he would fit, still needs to develop his body and his game. Freshman Player of the Year is AWESOME and he did put up a lot of Double Doubles but go back and see how many were done in Big 10 play vs. the cupcake pre season. Another year of development, seasoning, and maturing are only going to allow this young man to get beyond the "average" and be a Kevin Garnett long lived type of NBA player. IMO -

A first-round bye...not impossible
hoosiers62 replied to incrediboy's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Well lets not forget we will be playing Michigan in Michigan on Senior Day as well to potentially get to 9-9 ourselves. Tall order, not impossible, but need the W on Wed on our own Senior Night to even get to that talking point. gonna be tough no matter our seed in the B10 Tourney -
finally something i can agree with that came out of Down on Indiana Dan's mouth

I must say the first negative response is lost another game by >10 after being up by ten. HOWEVER, i looked at the stats of this game because i didnt watch and i think it tells a different story. The boys played in this game, outscoring Wusconsin by 9 on the floor, putting the ball in the hole while being guarded. Then i look at the fouls, 6 fouls on Wisconsin? come on they could get that many just walking out of the locker room. Get outscored by 20 from the "charity" stripe you are not going to win. I am not down on that performance last night. The big 3 came to play and did

Hoosiers and Their Fans Must Forgive, Forget … and Fight on to the Finish
hoosiers62 replied to DocLibby's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Very nice, maybe I will watch the game as well, had decided not to, but if the boys can pull it together and play like they want to win and fight fight fight like Hoosiers should always do, I will too -
How much longer until Crean is on the hot seat?
hoosiers62 replied to wsteele's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I think Coach has got to do to himself what he does with his players and look at his performance. Granted he doesnt play on the floor, but those backcourt violations and failure to get a ball inbounds with 12 seconds left, timeout in hand and a one point lead, that is coaching to not have practiced it and to not have told them....cant get it in call a timeout, jeez to loft it up like that was just stupid....and that from a projected lottery pick? Vonleh in no way is ready for the NBA, sorry, neither was Zeller, but money is money. If this tractory continues into next year it is going to be very hard to stop the train from leaving the station -
We are on a w/l/w/l kind of move, so that makes a Penn State win at home, Purdue loss on the road for the next two. We still have to play 3 of the top 4 teams with two on the road and throw in NW on the road too. If we could learn and take the Big Ten tourney that would be awesome. Whatever, now, what does everyone think about Vonleh leaving next year? Starting over again in the middle

Prediction League Game 23 (Week 13) IU vs Minnesota (02/08/14)
hoosiers62 replied to Naturalhoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Does anyone remember last years trip to the Barn? With a MUCH better team, i believe NUMBER ONE, and we lose. We will lose this game, dont want them to, and hope Im wayyyy wrong but we cant seem to win two in a row against anyone but Podunk U and Twister St!! This could be a whitewash, Hoosiers lose by 18 -
Wouldnt shock me either, but leaving before seasons end wouldnt be showing maturity either.
-
Number 2 wont happen, especially twice because even if they would remain undefeated to the final game, one has to lose....BUT i dont think it will get that far. Syracuse will lose sometime before tourney begins, in fact I think Boeheim would welcome it. Shockers, shocking run thru that mid major, they will go down as well, wont make Sweet 16

Thoughts on Crowd Booing CTC/ Players?
hoosiers62 replied to IU Hoosier41's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I thought the subbing was a lot better Sunday, and see the result. If we EVER have Martin, Etherington, Howard on the floor at the same time WE WILL LOSE -

What are your feelings on Coach Crean?
hoosiers62 replied to KingDaddy40's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I really have to question some of his player combos, especially at the end of a game, not the last 30 seconds but last 5 minutes, if Vonleh, Yogi, and Sheehey arent on the floor i think he is missing something. Baffles me the walk ons playing at the end of games with the stud who will be an NBA draft choice next year sitting? -
hey you can remove the Fire Doug Mallory chant, its a done deal, loll
