I agree that the T was an awful call, but if you're Lance, why even talk when you're that close to Wade? You know he'll snitch.
-
Wow PG.

This is seriously basketball at its finest. It's gotten a little heated a few times. Love the old time rivalry feeling in this series.

Personally, I'm just glad he got the rebound! Any stat has been hard to come by for him.

So I delivered my own baby last night....(not planned)

(2014) PF Anthony Lee to OSU
djsalway replied to maxwell's topic in Indiana Basketball Recruiting Forum
He's deciding "shortly after" the national championship game, which is April 7th. I believe that means he will be taking visits next weekend as well. -
(2014) PF Anthony Lee to OSU

I don't see this as a "last ditch" effort at all. I see it as him reminding Anthony what Indiana has to offer before he goes on his visit to OSU this weekend. We're in dire need of a big man; it's Crean's job to keep reminding Anthony of that. -
I would love to watch this game. I was so pumped. But the girlfriend intervened once again.
-
Awful. You can't let that happen.

@Justin_Albers: Temple transfer Anthony Lee will visit Ohio State this weekend. Told me his plan is to visit Louisville after that. #iubb -
Who would you hire to replace CTC?

Saw this. He'll still end up with a top-tier job sometime. Made a mistake. Hope he goes and finishes his degree. Also hope Manhattan is willing to take him back. If they aren't, I'm sure some other school will still pick him up. He's too good of a coach. -
I'm loving the direction that this thread is heading.

Just read comments on the Sampson thread. Everyone was making fun that whoever created it called him "Samsung" LOL. The lingo here is definitely something you have to learn.

It was my first season too. Glad I got to join a site with such great people who are passionate about their beloved Hoosiers. I hope to spend many more seasons with you guys discussing and dissecting EVERYTHING about the athletic programs at Indiana University. Too bad we have to put up with Dukie, though... Now I have to have a filter when talking about the Blue Devils!

Definitions can change over time, and the most common definition for this word is the criminal/sexual definition. Most people know it in its sexual context, not "to rob and plunder." That is why it isn't generally accepted anymore.
-
I used to use the word as hyperbole, but once someone that I knew personally was affected by the actual act of rape, it completely left my vocabulary. You guys would feel differently if someone close to you was raped. There's no reasonable excuse for using the word.

Indiana Transfers Impact This Season
djsalway replied to IU Hoosier41's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Hey 41, what do the numbers look like if you factor in the seniors that are leaving? I think the transfers hurt a little just because if you include the seniors, we are losing over half of our minutes. I think we can recover from this though. -

Leaving for the NBA....the facts and the myths...
djsalway replied to Bk4life's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
Teams also want younger kids to build around, rather than a 4 year guy who is 22 by the time they are drafted. They want their players to have a longer period of time in the NBA. -

I realize the football comparison might not exactly work here. But remember when Matt Barkley from USC was a consensus #1 pick after his junior year, but stayed for his senior year to "win a title." Well, they won nothing, he had a shoulder injury, and he ended up being a 3rd round pick for the Philadelphia Eagles, now sitting as their 3rd string quarterback. It happens. Take the money while it's there and you are fully healthy. -
So Albers just tweeted that Hollowell will be meeting with the coaching staff to break the news that he will be transferring. This is right in line with what most of us expected to happen. That being said, what does everyone think about the possibility of another transfer? I could still see some others who might think a transfer is best, but what are your thoughts?

Craft is honestly their biggest loss because he was their catalyst. -
The Great S%&* Storm of 2014

Don't know where this belongs, but Eron Harris of West Virginia is transferring. Would we be interested? I don't know. He'd have to sit for a year, then would be eligible. He averaged 17.2 ppg this year as a sophomore.
