New Glass comments to ESPN A few that I found interesting. "I'm bullish on Tom," Glass told ESPN. "He's done a really good job with these guys. It's ridiculous to say that someone is coaching for his job for one game and that it would be up or down in one game." Glass said he met with Crean on Wednesday and reassured him about his job security. "He's a great coach," Glass said. "He has my full support. I have a great deal of confidence in Tom's body of work. This team overachieved early and then hit a tough patch." "There is a sense that Tom is only keeping his job because of the buyout," Glass said. "And while that's a big number and a significant amount of money, that's not what is keeping him in the job. I think he needs to be the coach ... I want him to be the coach here." "The rise and fortunes of Indiana (athletics) is with Indiana basketball," Glass said. "Everybody thinks the guy with the clipboard, the next guy, can be better. But starting over is overrated. You can't be willy-nilly about it."

With you 100%. I try to stay away from Nike if possible. I love Adidas. Under Armour has only a select few things that I'll wear. Some of their shirts/sweatshirts fit too tightly and the only pair of shoes I ever owned made by UA fell apart pretty quickly.

Potential fallout from coaching change

Sure CTC's record would be fantastic if he were at a school like Penn State or Clemson or South Carolina or something. But at Indiana, it's not acceptable. Double digit losses are NOT acceptable to me. -

He doesn't have to speak publicly though. Once he decides to do an interview, yes he has to support him, but he didn't have to accept the interview. Honestly just made me more angry that he did that. If he isn't willing to do what is long overdue, he can go ahead and leave as well. -

Tough to do that at the higher levels. Pretty much everyone in the A10 is recruiting unheralded 3 stars and developing them. Shows that he does a great job of development. But at this level, you have to recruit 4 and 5 stars and develop them. Would be interesting to see how he could do at this level. His brother certainly transitioned well. -

Isn't the buyout $12 million, drops to $11 on April 1 and drops again in July? -

All depends on if the player is in it for the coach or in it for the school. Kingsley Okoroh committed to Tennessee one day to play for Martin and the next day he switched to Cal when Cuanzo took the job. I'm not positive, but I believe a coaching change releases you from your LOI? -

Sad thing is this roster is one decent rim protector away from being a top 4 B1G team this year and competing for the conference title next year. So much talent here, being wasted by poor recruiting/roster management. -

I'm all in on the Gregg Marshall train if Stevens isn't an option. -
I went ahead and graded these so that everyone knows where they stand going into Saturday. biteoftheapple and Scooter D won this game with 8 points! Npride and WayneFleek are tied for first at 245 points each. Leaderboard: https://btownbanners.com/index.php?app=pickems&do=leaderboard&pid=9&wid=129

Wait, so now no one wants Alford or Crews or Calbert? Our fanbase has changed so much in the last 5 months. -

Agree with you 100%. The money can be found, up to Glass to pull the plug. -

That's basically how I took it. If not, then Glass really screwed himself over on that one. Still, having the buyout drop in July gives Glass more leverage if they discuss a settlement beforehand. -

Not to call you out specifically because I think a lot of people have forgotten, but Crean's buyout does drop to $7.5 mil on July 1. -
Why do teams just completely fold against UK?

Turning into quite a game. What a shot on that 3.

As could I... late season dropoff once again. If it means long-term success though, I'm okay with losing these last three. -

Lose our next three and drop out of the tournament picture. There would be A LOT of pressure on Glass if that happens. -

Is there a reason people are listing Hoiberg? In all reality, he will only leave his alma mater for the NBA. No reason for him to leave Iowa State for IU, that would be a step back at this point. -
Using KenPom, there's a 17.8% chance we win the next three and an 8.2% chance we lose the next three. (both assuming that Minnesota is our first round opponent in the BTT) *Note: we are favored in all three.
