2015 Transfers and Early Entries
djsalway replied to WayneFleekHoosier's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
I know a lot of places have him low in the draft and it kind of confuses me. He's long, has great timing blocking shots, and has a decent offensive game. Plus he's still young. I bet someone takes a chance on him. -
2015 Transfers and Early Entries

At least Turner has the potential to be a first round pick. Vaughn will be lucky to get picked at all. -
No he wouldn't. Graduating in May. Graduation transfer rule is still acceptable, just no waivers for non-grads.

Yogi to UofL -
Not necessarily. You have to fulfill your duties until the day you are terminated.

There is no concrete evidence that this is true. All rumor.

Standards to be Hired as Head Coach at Indiana
djsalway replied to Walking Boot of Doom's topic in Indiana Men's Basketball
My biggest standard is that he has succeeded at the highest level, meaning both in the tournament and preferably in a power 5 conference. Sure, Stevens has not coached at a Power 5 school, but his team advanced to the national championship game two years out of six years he was there and he has now proven himself as a solid coach at the NBA level. This is also why Billy Donovan is #2 on my list, because he has been pretty consistent at the highest level of CBB and has hung banners. -
It has backfired on them so bad... He has no trade value because of his contract, attitude, and the fact that he has just been BAD this year, so they are basically stuck with him unless the buy him out or waive him.

They are gonna be really good again. Should probably win the Big 12 title next year, but chances are Bill Self wins it again. -

Seems odd that he isn't playing his last year of eligibility. -
He said after the high school national tournament, which is April 2-4

Guys, this isn't a thread about the viewpoints of certain message boards. If you want to talk about that, go ahead and make a thread about it. This is about the OP's stance on CTC keeping/losing his job. Let's all just agree that BtownBanners is the best forum out there!

You make a great point. I'm not gonna argue that. It can be more useful in some situations than others. Usually a player's D rating will closely resemble that of the team. When it is so far skewed like yogi's, that's troubling.

@DavidWoods007: Seeing times of 4.25 and 4.29 in 40-yard dash for Indiana WR @SHANEWYNN4 at pro day. Could get him drafted. #iufb Those times are crazy fast.
-
It is legitimate to do so, because the team is performing better while that specific player is on the court. It isn't like the defense during Jordy's freshman year was anything special either. Yogi's defensive rating was one of the worst on the team this year. Edit: Yogi's defensive rating was the worst on the team this year. Jeremiah April's was the best. 2nd Edit: Yogi's D Rating was 7.0 points higher than the team average.

Indianapolis Colts Off-Season Thread

HOW DID I MISS THIS -
Yes, that is what that means. Our defense was horrible this year, so basically everyone's ratings were high.
-
Yeah you would think that would be the case, but it's the opposite. I think in Yogi's numbers, there is a little more to the story. Yogi has had to really step up his game on the offensive side of the ball, while playing about 39 mpg, so he's more prone to being a defensive liability. Having TB would help take some more of the offensive load off of Yogi and also help out everyone's defensive numbers.

He isn't participating. Still out with the foot injury, I guess. -
Nope, lower is better for Defensive Rating. Just measures points per possession given up while you're on defense.

Absolutely no doubt about it. Even though baseball is becoming less and less popular, The Show always makes me remember how much I love the sport.

Oh you know it. I can't wait.
