    IUWBB exhibition game tonight

Indiana women's basketball opened 2013-2014 with an impressive 79-55 exhibition win over Georgetown College at Assembly Hall Tuesday night. Redshirt sophomore Kaila Hullshad a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds in her debut in a Hoosier uniform and freshmanLarryn Brooks also added 13 points as Taylor Agler poured in 10 points to lead Hoosier scorers. Agler, representing one of nine players who entered the night yet to play a game for the Hoosiers., nailed a 3-pointer within the first 15 seconds, while fellow freshman Larryn Brooks scored five early points to help boost Indiana to a 10-2 lead within the first two minutes. A Georgetown 3-pointer at the 17-minute mark halted the IU run, but strong defense by Indiana held the Tigers off the scoreboard again for four straight minutes, giving Indiana a chance to burst out to an early 19-9 lead with 13:49 on the clock. Hulls' first points in the Indiana uniform came from behind the arc. Hulls, who has spent the last two seasons rehabbing ACL injuries, had three steals on the night to go along with her double-double. It seemed as if the Hoosiers were going to run away with the game as they led 38-19 with six minutes to play in the first half, but a 6:13 IU scoring drought let Georgetown climb back within 10. A layup by Tabitha Geradot with just one second left on the clock ended the drought and sent Indiana to the locker room up 40-28 at the half. The Tigers would open the second half with a layup and then a jumper to cut the lead to single digits for the first time since the opening five minutes. They came as close as a six points before Indiana went on a 15-4 run over a 5:25 span, making it 55-38 with 11:30 remaining. The Hoosiers held momentum the rest of the way to take the win. Agler stuffed the stat sheet with 10 points, nine assists, four steals and two rebounds while shooting 4-of-8 from the field and 2-of-5 from beyond the arc. Brooks tied for the team lead with 13 points with seven boards, four assists and a steal. Of Indiana's 79 points, 62 came from first year players within the Indiana program. Eleven Hoosiers found the scoring column and six players had five or more rebounds. The Hoosiers tallied 22 assists as a team with just seven turnovers. Indiana outrebounded the Tigers 57-40. The Hoosiers will play their first regular game of the season on Nov. 9 against Oakland at Assembly Hall at 7 p.m. ET.
