Gassion will suit up for Kouvottaret of Finland's Korisliga league as she signed her contract on Monday. She will join the team in September with the season running from late October through March. Gassion was a Big Ten All-Defensive team and All-Big Ten honorable mention in 2016-17 as she averaged 12.4 points and 6.4 rebounds per game. She also chipped in 4.6 assists per game and shot 46 percent from the floor along with a 32.7 percent 3-point range. The Fairborn, Ohio native finished her career 13th all-time in career scoring with 1,343 points and ninth all-time in rebounds with 749. She became the eighth player in school history to record 1,300 points and 700 rebounds in her career while also finishing in the top 10 in blocks with 82 (ninth all-time). In 2016-17, she scored in double figures in 26 games and set a new career-high with 26 points against Minnesota. She also pulled down a career-high 20 rebounds against Oakland which was the seventh-best single game performance at Indiana. She was part of Indiana's all-time winningest class, collecting 80 wins and earning three postseason berths. Hoosiers fall at #18 Purdue, 18-11. Senior Jake Danishek beat #6/#12 Griffin Parriott in a 6-4 decision. The win marks the 15th win of the season for Danishek. Following the decision for Danishek, fellow senior Bryce Martin won by decision 6-2. For Martin it was also his 15th win of the season.
