  1. Must not be very avid Ohio State fans. Most of the OSU fans I've encountered have the all-time record and Indiana win drought written on the back of their hand.

What analysis can Dakich provide for IU football?

    IUFB Offseason Updates

I think 7 wins is definitely attainable and probably should be guaranteed but there's always 1 or 2 games every year we lose to someone we shouldn't have. I also think this year has to be the year we take down someone good. Probably either Ohio State or Michigan. We though it was last year but turns out not so much. I'll set my expectations at 6 wins but stay optimistic for more.

Could you also explain the RP's vs PP's and how recruiting works?

How does practicing work? Do you set a focus for the team/each player and each day it goes up? How do you see the progress so you can know when to shift focus?

You can change them around I believe. It seems to be that each player is position-less and you place them where you see them best given their skills.

    IUFB Offseason Updates

Glad to see he's already getting reps. I'm really excited about him and I think he may be the best back on the team. A lot of size and speed.

    IUFB Offseason Updates

I know Simmie Cobbs posted something on twitter and Lagow did on Instagram. I want to say I saw another too but can't recall off the top of my head.

    IUFB Offseason Updates

With this said, I fully expect Lagow to be the starter when the year starts and to look improved. It looks like he's truly been trying to improve and I believe having a full offseason to learn the offense will be beneficial. He also seems to take criticism well and not let it get to him and alter his confidence which is a very good attribute to have as a quarterback. But, I still think with this offense, Ramsey would be the better fit. I just think having a quarterback who can run and throw is so valuable in college football and from what we've seen from Ramsey, he can do that. Especially since we're moving away from a bombs away offense and more towards a run first, Lagow's arm strength becomes less valuable for this offense. I don't know how many times they ran a read option last year and Lagow had a wide open lane because they knew he wasn't going to run it so they just focused on the running back. However, I think it will take a complete meltdown from Lagow for him to lose the starting spot. I'm very excited about Morgan Ellison. Whether it be this year or in years to come, I think he's going to be a huge factor in our run game. Lastly, I think one of our biggest assets on our offense that no one is talking about is Ian Thomas. DeBord likes to utilize the tight end in the passing game and Thomas is looking good this offseason.

    IUBB/IUFB Student Ticket Process

Thank you guys, most of what you said I had either heard or assumed but I was just wanting to make sure. I've had season tickets with my dad for around 10 years now for basketball and football so for basketball games I don't get I'll still be set to go to games hopefully. Like I said, I assumed football was open seating but I was just wondering because I remember they have the freshman class run on the field before the first home game and I know I want a good seat for that so may have to pass in order to get that.
  16. You mean when a player is playing well you wouldn't take him out?
  17. Okay, this year: Virginia; last year 2 wins FIU; 4 wins GA Southern; 5 wins Michigan State; 3 wins Maryland; 6 games Illinois; 3 wins Rutgers; 2 wins Purdue; 3 wins That's 8 games where it is very likely IU will be favored and you'll be surprised if they win 5?
  18. Tim Priller is also verified on Twitter. Doesn't really mean anything. If you're even somewhat of a public figure it isn't that hard to get verified.
  19. They are really not as far off as you make it seem. Don't forget the past couple years they have taken the teams you mentioned to the 4th quarter and sometimes even the whole game and still compete competitively. But because of how good the division is like you said, the room for error is very small which, for a casual fan or outsider, makes it appear that there really is no light for the program. But anyone who has really watched this team can see the steady improvement overall and realize that this team is so close to finally turning the corner and being able to make some noise. As for the seats predicament you brought up, this construction is not only to add seats and also not only for football: "The Excellence Academy will include two primary levels. The first level will be home to the Dr. Lawrence Rink Center for Sports Medicine and Technology which will include the Irsay Family Wellness Clinic, the Rehabilitation and Treatment Center and the Center for Elite Athlete Development. These facilities will provide: comprehensive physical and mental healthcare for IU student-athletes with physician offices, psychologist and nutritionist offices, exam rooms, diagnostic equipment, and the like; all-inclusive space and equipment to help prevent, diagnose, rehabilitate and treat injuries to student-athletes; and research and technology to apply science to the development of champion student-athletes. Also on the first level will be the Hancock Hiltunen Caito Center for Leadership and Life Skills which will include the Glass Family Student-Athlete Leadership Suite and the Career Counseling Center. These facilities will offer multi-purpose space and offices dedicated to leadership development, life skills training, service learning, and career development for students who participate in intercollegiate athletics at IU."
  20. I'd also say with Cody graduating, I don't see him coming back either.
  21. Yeah, assuming he knows, I'd say if the journey included him coming back for another year then that journey would've already began, no?
  22. Priller will have to be kicked out, I think. He seems to be perfectly fine with his role here, he won't leave on his own.
