I'd love for the Pacers to sign him for the Mad Ants if he is cut. We could see a back court of Yogi and Zeisloft again!

His deal with the Nets means they own his D-League rights.

Poor Yogi, more than likely will get the cut.

It's sad, Kenny wants to play Joe Harris and Vasquez over Yogi. Both of those players will not be in the league in a year or two. The Nets are not doing anything this year, they have the worst roster in the league and will be battling for the worst record in the league between the Sixers, Suns, and my Lakers.

The Nets need to develop a core. While Yogi may not BE a contributing NBA player yet, it would be silly to not let him get some PT while the nets suck it up this year.

Yogi will more than likely be cut this weekend and will be seeing some D-League action this year. It just puzzles me the Nets have no idea what they are doing still after so many terrible years..

Brooklyn Nets announce they have waived Yogi Ferrell.

Not all that surprising.   It didn't help his case that he missed a couple of the preseason games due to the unfortunate and sad death of his grandmother.  Have to wait and see if some other club will pick him up for assignment to its D-League affiliate.  Hopefully that will happen.

Tweet from David Pick, pro basketball reporter:

I can confirm that Yogi Ferrell will play with Brooklyn's D-League affiliate, the Long Island Nets.

First regular season game is on 11/11 @ 8 pm ET. Think there's an exhibition on 11/9.

Jeremy Lin has a strained hamstring. The Nets say he will be reevaluated in two weeks. Rookie Isaiah Whitehead, who had five points, four assists and four rebounds in 20 minutes the other night, could see a big boost in playing time until Greivis Vasquez and Randy Foye return.
