BLOOMINGTON, Ind.  -  Indiana fans will get their first look at the 2023 volleyball team on Saturday, August 19th (2:00 PM) inside Wilkinson Hall for the program's annual Cream and Crimson Scrimmage.

The Hoosiers will split into two teams and play two sets to 25 points and a final set to 15 points before opening up the floor for autographs for fans.

IU will feature a veteran group in 2023 with 10 juniors and seniors on the roster including graduate student middle blocker Kaley Rammelsberg who enters her fifth season of college volleyball.

2022 All-Big Ten setter Camryn Haworth, who was named to the 2023 Preseason All-Big Ten team, returns to run the Hoosier offense and is surrounded by a plethora of big arms.

Junior outside hitter Mady Saris and senior outside hitter Morgan Geddes trained with their respective national team programs over the summer. Senior middle blocker Savannah Kjolhede has appeared in all 82 matches of her IU career so far.

Among the newcomers to the program include Ramsey Gary (Under Armour All-American libero), Ava Vickers (three-time club National Champion with Munciana) and Avry Tatum (Cincinnati transfer with 215 kills in '22).

Admission to the Cream and Crimson Scrimmage is free and will be the only public event for the program before the 2023 season opener on August 25th at home against New Hampshire (7:00 PM).

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -  The Indiana Volleyball team (3-0, 0-0) jumped out to a 17-1 lead in the opening set of Saturday night's match against Radford, never looking back in a dominant straight sets victory (25-5, 25-15, 25-14) to close out the Indiana Invitational.

IU conceded just five points and only one kill to Radford in the opening set (25-5), the fewest ever allowed to an opponent in program under the current scoring format (since 2008).

The Hoosiers scored 17 of the first 18 points of the match which included a run of three-straight kills from sophomore opposite hitter Avry Tatum.

As a team, IU hit .500 on the evening, matching the program record for single-game hitting percentage in the rally era. All-time, the .500 clip is tied for third in a single game in program history. The Hoosiers converted on 42 of 70 swings with just seven errors.

Radford hit just .029 on the evening (17-15-69) and were held to just -.269 (1-8-26) hitting in the dominant opening set for the Hoosiers.

IU heads out west next weekend for a challenging slate of games in Long Beach, Calif. against host school Long Beach State and future conference opponents UCLA and Washington.

BLOOMINGTON, Ind.  – The Indiana Volleyball team (10-3, 0-0) begins the 20-game Big Ten gauntlet on Wednesday (September 20th) evening with a visit from Illinois.

The match will be the first of four for the Hoosiers broadcasted nationally on the Big Ten Network (8:00 PM) with Connor Onion (PxP) and Elena Shkylar (Color) on the call.

IU has won three Big Ten home openers under head coach Steve Aird including the past two in 2021 (Michigan State) and 2022 (Iowa). The Hoosiers are riding a seven-game win streak into Wednesday's match, the program's longest since the 2019 campaign.

Five Hoosiers went for double-digit kills in a win last Friday night in Miami (FL) including sophomore opposite Avry Tatum (17) and graduate student middle blocker Kaley Rammelsberg (15).

IU will go for back-to-back wins over the Illini for the first time since (2000). The Hoosiers won the programs' last meeting on November 23rd, 2022.

• The Hoosiers opened their 2023 campaign at the Indiana Invitational, sweeping New Hampshire, Southern Indiana and Radford in commanding victories.

• IU tested itself early in the season with a trip to the Long Beach Invitational. A tough weekend at The Beach, which featured three defeats and eight of nine set loss by four of fewer points, was a strong litmus test for the Hoosiers in the early going of the season.

• With a straight sweep of opponents at the Stacheville Challenge and four wins at the 305 Challenge, IU has now won seven-straight contests heading into Big Ten play.
