(2018) SG Romeo Langford - INDIANA HOOSIERS

Recommended Posts

Agree that’s why I posted that.    I’ve been to Wilkes,Guy,  Lyles(after he decommitted mind you), and romeos games sophomore and junior years(when IU wasnt even an option) and while I saw IU fans in the stands with their IU gear on like myself none of those kids got booed by the IU fans   only by the opposite student section.   Indiana basketball fans are mostly Indiana high school basketball fans as well so the gyms were still packed

He would have been booed by a handful of people over the course of the season. I have no clue where he is going but the confirmation bias (accurate for this thread) has shifted daily now. But hey if you shout something loud enough, long enough it becomes true.

Ok, haven’t checked this thread since the 18th of this month. Didn’t feel like reading through all of this so I’ll just ask. Did I miss anything?

A lot of meltdowns that is...but nothing of importance really.

Just spoke with a guy whose son plays at Warren Central and knows Aaron Henry pretty well and said that Archie met with him 2 weeks ago and word is that he's decommitting from MSU in the midst of all that is going on and will be coming to Bloomington next year. He said the writing isn't completely on the wall but that speaks volume about what Archie thinks our chances are to land Romeo...if true of course. Looks like Archie has a solid backup plan in place.

I hope to god this isn't true for a few reasons.

Ignore those guys, they're all weirdos. They were big Crean fans and are probably still salty that he got fired.

No way it is. Big no-no. That is one other schools would snitch on you for.

It’s not true as described, but there are surely ways to have back-channel communications with a player that’s backing out of his commitment.

That would be a violation on Indiana’s part since Henry signed a LOI if true.

Hypothetically, let's assume Henry is seriously thinking of decommitting.  So if Henry initiates a contact completely on his own we have to hang up the phone on him?   It's meant as a serious question because I don't know the answer or the ins and outs of the NCAA rule book that would come into play in such a scenario.  And I assume there's always the back door approach via high school coach, AAU coach, etc., to determine if IU is even still interested?  Inquiring minds want to know.

I agree with this. And if it's true (not saying I think it is) I'm not upset by it. Seems like a great kid and a great athlete. We Could do far worse.
