WORLD SERIES

They will have to hit Arrieta to win this series. We both know the stigma of the Cardinals and their clutch hitting in the playoffs. Not just last year, any year. We know the Cubs stigma in the playoffs. If the Cards were healthier and you guys were getting timely production from Molina, Carpenter, or Holliday I would be more worried. Those are the guys who are going to have hit Arrieta. While at the same time, Wacha will have to get away from the worst month of his career having not pitched in two weeks. For once the stigma of both organizations really doesn't scare me. Ever since Taveras passed (biggest loss in baseball IMO since Munson) the Cards have had bad luck when it comes to injuries. It just seems to be catching up with them. If you guys have Martinez? I think you guys win in 4. If you had Taveras and Martinez? You guys win in 3. Unfortunately for the Cards they are the most banged up team I can ever recall in the postseason. Which to me is a kudos to Matheny. To get that team to win 100 with the injuries they had is a phenomenal coaching job.

We've had horrid luck with injuries and Taveras, but incredible luck with coaching. To go from one of the most successful coaches in the modern era to a rookie coach with no fall-out is incredible. Front office and the farm system have always been a solid backbone.

Honestly, I won't be upset to see the Cubs win it all. I want my Cards to win, but it'd be cool to witness the end of the longest drought in sports.

Great lineup! I really wanted to see Soler and Schwarber in at the same time. Should be a heck of a game with Arrieta pitching

Imo that's the best hitting lineup with great pitching on the mound.

It's the Cardinals. They'll probably scratch out a run or two against Arrieta and Wacha will somehow throw a two-hit shutout. It's what they do.

If either team just scores 2 with the wind blowing out 20+ mph they lose. Even though it's Arrieta I see like a 7-4 game.

Not this game. Arrieta didn't fold under pressure against Pittsburg like Cole did. I think they have this game 3 in the bag. His pitching and the lineup they are putting out today is as much of a sure thing as the Cubs can get. Doesn't mean the series is over by a long shot though
