Christian Morris - New York Yankees Org

Recommended Posts

Signed this afternoon per twitter.  Would have loved to have seen Christian back for one more year, but can't blame him for signing. The Hoosier pitching staff is going to be a work in progress next year.

@MorrisC21: With that being said I'm beyond excited to start my new career as a member of the New York Yankees organization! #goyankees

Another W for Morris last night.

Charleston starter Christian Morris (3-0) gave up an early home run to Tito Polo in the first inning, but didn't let that faze him.  The righty took command of the game from there on out, throwing a solid 6.0 innings, giving up just the one run on four hits, a walk, and six strikeouts, lowering his ERA to 1.48 on the season.

Morris Lights Out in a 4-2 Win.

Morris (4-1) commanded the strike zone and kept the Asheville Tourist (30-29) hitters off balance with six innings of one-hit baseball with two walks and seven strikeouts to near the Charleston RiverDogs (35-23) closer to clinching the first half title. A first half win would clinch a playoff spot, their first playoff berth in 11 years.

Mandy Alvarez brought home the winning run with a two-out RBI single in the 13th inning as the Tampa Yankees (2-3) defeated the Fort Myers Miracle (1-4), 4-3, on Monday evening at George M. Steinbrenner Field.

RHP Christian Morris relieved Roeder in the eighth and tossed four shutout innings, scattering three hits while striking out a pair.

GREENVILLE, S.C. - Centerfielder Estevan Florial clubbed a go-ahead solo home run with two outs in the top of the eighth inning as the RiverDogs and Greenville broke open a scoreless tie to combine for seven runs over the final 3 ½ innings in a 4-3 victory for Charleston on Friday night at Fluor Field.

The RiverDogs used four different relievers to get through the rest of the game. Christian Morris (3-1, 2.57) vultured the win after giving up the game-tying two-run homer in the seventh.
