UM Graduate Transfer Max Bielfeldt To IU

Recommended Posts

Felt strongly this was going to happen. Solid addition. I hope we didn't make any promises we can't keep. Crean needs to play our best players, IF that includes Max, so be it.

Most importantly, will he be better than Hanner? That's the BIG question.

Well...if that's the big question, let me be the first to answer it for you!

Yes.

'Scuse me while I quote myself!

This is a VERY important addition. Thomas Bryant better be ready to play big in practice, cause Max is gonna teach him a few toughness lessons.

Absolutely this. Max could go the whole season without scoring a point and still be an invaluable member of our team. Thomas Bryant's going to learn what it takes to bang in the Big Ten from the very beginning.

Very curious to see how Crean and Co. spend the last scholarship. Is Thon a reality? If not, Crean won't bank the scholarship. Give it to Burton? Probably not. Give it to the new PG, Harrison? Nah.

Hmmm?

Wasn't he chasing some unranked 2-star power forward in Texas recently?

This thread in cliff notes

Max is awesome we want him.

He's going to ISU, he wasn't that great anyway.

Wait,he's a hoosier, best thing ever.

I really don't care how/why he came here,he's here now and he will help. <-----And that's all that matters.

The reality is he is not awesome but he is a great fit for our needs. I wasn't ecstatic about him in the beginning, but I've warmed up to it. Just because he doesn't have big upside doesn't mean he can't help. I see him as our "Ziesloft" in the post. 8-20 minutes a game. Sound fundamentals. No all star but a ball player.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

Glad he is aboard and I don't blame him for taking his time and figuring out which college was the right choice for him to continue his education and basketball career.
