I really hope DD doesn't get Creaned or decide to transfer. He was one of the only players on last years team that I really liked. He has a solid game and could be a solid 3-4 for the next few years. Plus, I'd like to see him return wearing th Cream and Crimson. I could see a big reception in the future.

Just don't see that happening. I think Crean developed a real bond with DD in the aftermath of the accident and he has a place on the team almost guaranteed. To me the question is the real severity of the accident and will Devin be able to get back to the point he is medically cleared to play and is able to play at the D-1 level. Then you also have to consider what the NFL is going through with concussion effects and what happens if some idiot would undercut DD and he takes a bad fall or he gets an elbow shot to the temple. I'm not trying to be Debbie Downer but Devin's future health is a lot more important than ever scoring another point or grabbing a rebound for IU.

You could do what ifs for many scenarios though. Playing basketball is far less dangerous than being in an automobile, playing basketball on a nerd hoop with Ahole friends, having ahole coworkers, being around large machinery, surfing, etc. (just a few of my concussions). There's a risk for every individual on the court. I'm sure he'll receive some of the best advice from medical doctors and DD and family will make the best decision for them. I think he'll be back.
