Crean Against the World

Recommended Posts

It wouldn't be difficult to infer that from the tweet, but it's easy to read too much into a tweet.

All I see is looking for another avenue to trashing the program. Crean has always praised VJ for being apart of the rebuild. I don't know why he would just throw in a random potshot at Crean on twitter.

VJ3 against Crean too? Ouch

@Vj3_217: I'm so appreciative of coming overseas cuz I came back to how I played pre college..one of the top guards in Illinois.aka best state 4 bball

eh, that sounded like a slam. Iirc he made comments to the effect to that his dad was a better coach than Crean while he was at IU

My take is that it was a slam against the state of Indiana. Illinois the best state for basketball? I don't think so Tim.

There's maybe...MAYBE a Chicago vs Indy argument, but Illinois vs Indiana, no way. Only kid I can think of that went big outside of Chicago is Iguodala. From small school (what I played) all the way to the big schools, state-wide, it isn't even close.

Not sure if he's slamming Crean or the program but does seem to be saying his college years werent his best. I would agree with him.

alford Bailey gets it! That is exactly what he is saying. Now infer into that as you may. 3 choices. He is blaming himself, the program, the coach or a combination for not playing up to his potential. And who honestly blames themselves in this day and age??

you can look at it that way but his only perspective to Indiana basketball is via the IU lens. If he is slamming Indiana basketball he is also slamming IU basketball due to his connection to it.

living up to your name again, I see. Use your powers of reason and critical thinking and evaluate that tweet again, would ya?

Listen man, I'm not the one over here trying to decipher the meaning of vague tweets by 20-something's. But go on posting your analysis of any tweets you believe to be a shot at Crean and the program
