Haha Purdue fans get defensive when someone said IUs biggest rival is UK. "Come on guys, us! Look at us! We're important!"

We had another thread about most hated rivals and Purdue and UK top the list for most though, I'd personally go with UK, living near that god forsaken border and all.

Hartman needs to be on from 3, if he is Purdue is going to have a lot of trouble defending us.

 

He's been VERY on the last two games.  I would instruct him to pump fake, their 5, and get in the lane.  My guess is their 5 will foul him often.  He should only be taking 3s if he's wide open.  That will help our guards penetrate to kick or finish at the rim.  Expect a few questionable charges as Yogi knocks their bigs down.

I admit I don't know a lot about the PU roster (guess that's a consequence of being virtually irrelevent and never, ever playing on national/regional/local/student TV). Their inside strength worries me. Hammons is a talented and tall, but irratic. Their other tall guy is also tall (I'm the John Madden of basketball commentary). If we can force the issue with an up-tempo, spread offense we should be able to put it away. Much as I malign PU, this is their Super Bowl. We have to take the fans out early and send them and their T-1000 Graphing Calculators back to their dorm rooms.

 

Prediction: Yogi stands taller than anyone on Purdue's roster, Purdue fans start chanting "we want Stevens", and the one (1) remaining attractive girl at Purdue decides to transfer after seeing Tim Priller.

What I got from that board. 

 

PU admin - "All right guys! Big rivalry game! Let's get excited! Looks like some IU fans are here!"

IU guy - "I am looking forward to this rivalry. When I was younger, southern Indiana was all IU/UK, but I appreciate the rivalry now!"

PU guy 1 - "WTF YOU SAY1?!? WE HAVE THE ALL TIME RECORD SO SUCK IT IDIOTS!"

PU guy 2 - "YEAH! ARE YOU EVEN AN ALUM OF YOUR SCHOOL? ONLY PEOPLE THAT WENT TO PU ARE PU FANS!"

PU guy 3 - "YEAH, IT ISN'T A RIVALRY FOR US EITHER AND WE DON'T EVEN CARE ABOUT THIS GAME!"

 

I went back on the board and a lot of the ridiculous comments by Purdue fans were deleted.
