Tuned into the Western Kentucky/Louisville game because I was expecting WKU to win in front of Louisville's fans.  So far, WKU hasn't shown up and Khristain Lander hasn't even scored yet.  68-50 Louisville with 11 1/2 to go.

Jealousy, yes.

Boosters late/negligent on payments? I can honestly say I didn't see that one coming.

Any fundraising effort I was ever involved in always anticipated a percentage of pledges to never be honored for one reason or another.

But to me... was this model truly ever sustainable? I just don't see that it is.

15 years from now... we are still going to be asking these same boosters to pony up or they don't get to see their favorite QB? Just seems that is going to get old after awhile.

Very much agree. Not sustainable at all. From what I understand, most coaches were just going to try to survive the initial wave of NIL where everyone was going to want/get something. Then, like everything else, water finds its level and it goes right back to the haves (5-stars, elite schools) and the have nots (everyone else).

I just didn't see water beginning to find its level less than 2 years in lol.

Gotcha gotcha. Some of these places, imo, could really get out of control.

I think as a teammate... it'd be pretty hard to see someone make 400K or whatever and you are getting nothing.
