He’s just going to try and continue on what K has already built. It’s no different than what Davis is going to do at UNC other than their age. With a program that’s established it’s stupid for a school to hire someone that’s going to come in and start changing things to do it their way.

When you are at the top of college basketball you hire someone who will keep you there. Maybe Scheyer is that guy, but idk. Hiring a 33 year old assistant is a huge risk that Duke didn’t need to take. Duke is probably the best coaching job in college basketball. If anyone could swing for the fences and get whoever they want it’d be Duke. A couple of bad hires after replacing a legend and you’re in trouble. We know that as well as anyone.

If Indiana hired Hubert Davis or Jon Scheyer this board would’ve been apoplectic.

Well ... yeah. There would've been absolutely no reason for IU to even consider either one.

Definitely Duke and UNC are using the same 'apprenticeship' model. The difference is who each school picked. Hubert Davis was a former NBA player with media experience before coming back to UNC; he seems to be outspoken and have outgoing personality. IMO, he would probably try to establish his own program with minimal intervention by Roy Williams. Scheyer seems to be quite the opposite; he could well be a great coach in the making, but I'm suspecting that K picked someone he can easily control. So Scheyer will be the new coach, but he will not really be the coach if that makes sense. I wonder if 5 stars and high 4 stars would want to come play for 34 year old coach who doesn't have much on his resume.

In that article, there was a link that mentioned the women's 3 pt line is moving to the int'l distance same as the existing men's line which should make the courts look a lot cleaner.

According to Woj, Juwan Howard is in the conversation for the Portland job. Hope, that doesn’t happen, but it wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world for IUBB.

In consideration for the Celtics job too maybe?

Geez...if this happen it seems like every obstacle in Woody’s way just melts.
