Markell Jones w 200+ rushing yards in first half for Columbus East- and, he played linebacker for a lot of 2nd quarter. Running clock for 2nd half. 54-0 Olympians!

Here we are again! Cross town rivalry- the awesome orange and brown Olympians of Columbus East vs the blue and white Bulldogs of Columbus North! 4000 seat field, we're expecting 6000 people for it! Couple of IU targets here. Love football! Go O's!

Scrimmage week!  Columbus East takes on Martinsville.  New QB, new RB's, new line for East.  Bedford North Lawrence could be a player in the Hoosier Hills Conference this year.  Keep an eye on Jeff, as their new coach (Brian Glesing, formerly of Floyd Central) is a good coach, now with a larger budget/talent pool.  Mark McDonald (RB from East) is a powerhouse runner, and only a sophomore.  Both Columbus East and Columbus North got new turf this year- looks great!  Jennings County also got turf, but is unable to field a freshman team due to lack of players- hopefully by investing in the future, they can turn that around.  Anyone else excited for high school football?

Looks like MCulley had a great showing in the season opener and had his way with Avon. 9/13 passing for 248 yards and 4 TDs as well as 157 yards rushing on 13 carries and another TD. This kid is gonna be special for us!

After a thoroughly disappointing week 1, hopefully the Olympians will regroup to defeat Columbus North (who curb stomped Gibson Southern last week). I'm hoping to start getting a feel for any D1/IU prospects in the Hoosier Hills Conference, but it's tough with only 250 fans to provide perspective.

Anyone interested in watching Indiana high school football from the comfort of your recliner, check out the link below to see if your game of interest is available.  Most, if not all, will require a nominal fee to watch.

If anyone wants to watch Columbus East or (blah) North, the games are supposed to have their links here
