I hadn't even heard the news till we left town at almost 2pm when my brother texted me about it.
Can't believe I didn't hear anybody in the hall talking about it. I just kept thinking "I thought they were having a scrimmage" but I didn't know why they cancelled.
As far as the players and coaches, moods were great. They were all upbeat and REALLY good to the kids. I would have never guessed something was up.

The coaches' and players' minds must have been on Devin today but I'm sure they wanted the focus to be on the kids enjoying the event. Good for them!

This little girl still had a blast. I'll write more when I get home, but I thought the players were a little somber. Whole thing was kind of an odd feel to it.

Guess that's just looking at it through the perspective of knowing what had taken place vs not knowing until after. I probably read into way more than needed.

Cute picture. The players probably were thinking of Devin and they minds were a mile away. I just hope Devin is ok and lives a normal life even if he doesn't play basketball again.

This was the first time for me at HHH.
I was really suprise at how easy it was to just walk up and talk to coaches and players. Is it normally a small crowd or did the lack of a scrimmage lower turnout so much?

It was definitely a smaller crowd. Always easy to get up and talk to players either way though.

Was at The Hall today with my granddaughters. They loved it. I did think it was a bit somber, but I thought the players interaction with the kids was great.

Interesting. I think that's quite telling that he was permitted to attend. Glad to hear it. #family
