Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners
It was meant to show that Stan is improving in regard to his behavior. He's having to do less early morning runs because he's behaving better.

Yeah I understand that. But isn't that basically saying Stan was constantly in trouble? I guess concerning was the wrong word there, but that's kind of odd that morning punishments were normal for him.

Another thing not really mentioned from yesterday's press conference; Vic is in town working out with the team again. Keep leading by example, Vic.

@ChronicHoosier: Always good seeing @VicOladipo back on Branch McCracken Court. http://t.co/afodjdxA4y Working camp like a candy-striped pied piper. #iubb

In an article read this morning, CTC said that April has a long, long way to go and probably won't contribute much this year.

If he is saying that, he must be awful :(  That is sad news, though not shocking.

CTC said: "(JApril's) got a lot to learn, but he's a willing learner ".

He did not say  "a long, long way to go and probably won't contribute much this year" (though it's possible that's true).

He finally took some responsibility for last season, it took until July but he finally did.
I have always been disappointed in his refusal to publicly take blame. It appears as though the returning players and our coach may have done some growing.

It's good to finally hear, but at the same time until he actually shows improvement in game it's just words IMO.

I have a good feeling about the way this team and Crean will respond to last season. I can't back this up, but something just feels different. I really think this is the kind of team Crean can motivate and succeed with over the next two years.

That's just where we have to agree to disagree.  I don't think things look that good, we wanted to blame last season's turnover issue on youth and we're just as young plus we traded a lack of shooters for a black hole down low.  Hanner can look good in team workouts, but he has to show it in games and that's a completely different animal, I remember how good Pritchard supposedly looked in practice but it never really showed in games.  UCONN managed it but that team improved a lot over the year and had one of the quickest backcourts and toughest guards in the country, so I'm not sure it's the best comparison, and the team they played had a beast down low.

I don't want to hijack this thread or turn it into yet another back and forth, like I said we just have to agree to disagree.

I'm hoping the youth from last season will have matured more than we'd normally expect from sophomores. I can easily agree with your perspective, I'm just hoping for more.
