wow! you ain't kidding. That is a big "nope" from me. They are outrageously priced. I'll stick with the fishfinder i have now (which i just got for christmas).

Yeah, I think I will wait for a fish finder that also puts the fish on the hook.

This King (Chinook) took about 15 minutes since It's a mid-size King. The larger ones can take up to an hour to land in the net.  My wife landed a 60lb one in 5 minutes a few years ago. I still can't figure out how it happened. When she hooked into it, i knew it was a big ol' bull and expected a really long fight but it pretty much went right into the net. I was flabbergasted! The big Kings are in now and at the end of the month, i'm probably going to go down and try catch a monster. I have a halibut charter trip out of Valdez scheduled for the weekend of the 29th that may conflict with that plan.

You know better than to go fishing with your wife!  Somehow they always catch the bigger fish

you have to rip out or cut the gills after catching them so the blood doesn't spoil the meat on salmon.

Gotcha.  I was going to accuse you of side snagging him with a trebble hook before I saw the fly rod lol
