He'd usually need about 20 shots to get 20 points.  He's never been much of a shooter, and I don't want a 35% shooter taking that many shots.

Its against the book, but even in your post you tell a possible reason why.

Purdue got away with not playing Hammonds. We could've too.

In theory, it was a good idea to put him in against inferior competition and see if he could get some points inside. Problem is, Noah's main deficiency this season has been picking up silly fouls.
