I know him personally, as well as his brother. Both great kids and amazing athletes. I'm excited to see if he follows in his brother's footsteps, or picks his own path. Either way, kid will be a solid D1 football player.

It's good to see that IU will still honor a scholarship offer to him. IMHO, IU has to take gambles like this to be competitive in football. Hope things work out for him.

From what I have heard, from being a ND FB fan, is ND is not seriously considering this kid as a recruit. He has visited a few times but I think that was just out of courtesy for his brother, Drue. I would imagine he would rather go to IU than Notre Dame. If ND were to offer though, it would be tough to turn it down.

"Everything is going great and smoothly," he said. "The physical therapist says I'm three weeks ahead in my rehab and we are getting after it. "I'm really excited and blessed to be where I'm at."

 

Tranquill earned many offers over the last year, and he does plan to continue to visit several schools during the season. "I know I'm going to some Notre Dame games to watch [older brother] Drue obviously. Aside from that, I'm planning on some IU games and potentially some Western Michigan games also."

 

Indiana, Illinois, Western Michigan, Toledo, Eastern Michigan, Cincinnati, and Purdue have all offered.
