This is Maryland's homecoming game. They thought this would be a good idea to put on front of their alumni and drunk fans?

Fun fact, this will be Cig's third 'visiting' homecoming of the season - having defeated both Iowa & Oregon during their festivities, good times.

The Daily Hoosier -

Curt Cignetti just said on on his radio show Maryland's long snapper is his niece's boyfriend and they've been at family gatherings together.

Feel like Cig would naturally ask about the playbook

That'll be an awkward Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Don Fisher on the weekly coach's radio show, 20 minutes into the detailed interview previewing Maryland:

Don: "Why are they not running the ball more effectively at this point? Because they are only averaging around a hundred yards a game."

Cig: "A hundred and twenty three."

Details, details, details. Not a slogan; a way of life at IU football.

Nice read from Schumann. Locksley suggesting he could have kept Hemby and Wyatt if he’d been willing to “overpay” them really galls me. It’s not “overpaying” Coach, it’s what the market will bear. I really hope Hemby drops about 200yds on them.

Like Mike mentions in the article, this makes zero sense. "Freshman out of high school are rarely prepared to play up to their potential in years one and two, irrespective of their talent.  And those very high school players Locksley chose to pay now will be the next returning starters he has to pay more down the road.  Now with a reputation for not be willing to pay veterans who have proven themselves as some of the better players in the Big Ten, Locksley seems to be trapped in a vicious cycle."

So don't pay your best players, but pay high school players who won't contribute, and then when they can, you won't pay them?

I bolded an interesting part Locksley's recent statement.  I wondered just how true it actually is...... From the sound of Roman, it seemed like he was happy that he made the transfer.

“We had to make tough decisions on guys like Roman Hemby and Kellan Wyatt. I mean, if I had the money to be able to pay them at that time, there’s no doubt those guys would have wanted to remain here as Terps.

The game was just announced as a sellout. They also allegedly sold out the October 4th game against Washington, but official attendance was 5,000 below the SECU Stadium listed capacity. It's also a red out, so the 5? 10? 15? thousand IU fans will blend in.

There are going to be a ton of IU fans in that stadium. Maybe not quite Bama at 2022 Vandy levels, but close. I'm thinking 15,000 wearing crimson, not red.
