This is a big game. Due to our weak ooc wins I think we need 12 BT wins to slide into the tourney and 13 will comfortably get us in. To get to those numbers we need at least 4 road wins. Below are our BT road games. Lose tonight and I won’t be surprised if we only get 1-2 road wins.
Road games are:

Nebraska, PSU (at the Palestra),  Iowa, OSU, Northwestern, Purdue, Wisconsin, MSU, UW, Oregon

As USPS has point out, 15 of IU's last 17 games right now would be Q1.  While it likely won't end that way, you can probably safely bet on 12 or 13 Q1 games in the last 17.  IU will not need 13 wins to get 'comfortably be'.  It will be less than that. Thirteen conference wins + wins over Wintorp and Chattanooga would make IU 22-9.

I think we agree on the vast majority of things when it comes to IUBB right now, but I mean, what are we even talking about at this point? Lol…

Losing to Nebraska in basketball should always be a big deal for IUBB. Whether it’s close or a blow out doesn’t really matter IMO.

Guess I’m just so over Woodson I’ve already made peace with this year not amounting to much. Don’t see how you salvage it in any scenario that includes losing to Nebraska, regardless of it being on the road or at home. This is one of the easiest B10 games on the schedule… we should win and look good doing it. Anything less is pretty unsatisfying, though to be expected…

Agree generally re Nebraska, as I said earlier it's depressing that we look up at Nebraska on the schedule and (many) expect a L. Nebraska is a mediocre bball team and program, and yes expecting a L is because of Woodson and says a lot about how far down the program is under CMW's watch and outdated, low-product offensive (in both senses) system.

That said, I try to think big picture on the season. We have double digit Q1 games coming and this is IU's first true road game against a team that hasn't lost yet at home. We're deeper on talent, certainly a winnable game, but if we lose close in a hard fought game then there's at least reason to believe they'll continue to get better. If we get blown out by Nebraska -- that's an entirely different picture.

Why is Rice questionable?

I know that the big ten rules basically make you list any boo-boo as ‘questionable’.  Might be that since he had to leave the Minnesota game for a little while in the first half against Minnesota that he has to be on thdd we list.

or could mean that it tightened up after the game….but my guess is he’s playing
