Confident in saying Rourke is the best QB they've played in awhile.

You have to go back to October 14, 2023 against Caleb Williams for anyone to even have an argument. And provided he has time to execute, Kurtis is playing better than Caleb was last season.

An angle that Cig kinda brought up, but hasn’t been said much…Cig has experience this time of year in a single elim bracket. Even more so if we’re able to advance. Been there done that.

Not to bring Debbie Downer in here or play glass half empty, he also has experience not winning the big one. That's his only knock on his resume. That's part of his chip. Hopefully he fixes all that this year. I like his chances to do just that. The experience he has is definitely 1000% an advantage for game prep and day to day stuff against all the other schools.

I see Marcus Freeman and his family at church pretty frequently. If we win I'm sure as hell finding his seat and sitting in front of him while me and my son are decked out in IU gear.

Heck I might get that started this Sunday just to get in his head.

I read an article this morning that ND is missing a starting LB for IU: ND reasons for concern

I don't love the weather forecast as of now:

I think the weather, even if it gets "bad bad", COULD work to our advantage.

It might make them even more one dimensional and incredibly easy to defend (outside of manning up, maintaining a gap, and defeating blocks)

Notre Dame has no advantage when it comes to weather. They've got plenty of guys who come from the south.

Playing at ND is preferable anyway. Over the years, they consistently tense up at home. Tulsa, Northern Illinois, Syracuse, South Florida, and Marshall are all teams who have been able to come in and beat the Irish as big underdogs.

ND plays better on the road IMO. I think the pressure of playing for Notre Dame in their home stadium is very high. Plus, their opponent gets all jacked up for the once in a lifetime experience of playing at Notre Dame Stadium.

On the road, they can block all that noise out and just play the game.

Seriously I love our chances.

The only weather I don't want is super windy. That limits our passing game.

mmmm... yes, but.... it might completely wipe theirs (passing game) out.

Our defense is damn good against the run when there is a threat of pass, I can't imagine how good it could be WITHOUT a threat of pass.

I grew up really close to South Bend.  Don't pay too much attention to extended weather forecasts this far out.

Yea, it’s more accurate the day of according to my family up there in Mishawaka. Unfortunately, they are ND fans.

How awesome would that be if IU, which has had attendance problems since forever, would take over a large portion of the home stadium of a traditional power? It would show that IU could indeed be a sleeping giant.

I think I bought too early. Secured some pretty friggin’ excellent seats though and I don’t have to pay for a flight so it equals out.

I’m not going to call 50/50 but there are going to be a TON of Hoosiers in there.

I’m still holding out before I make a decision, going to see how busy my week is, but as of now, I think I should be able to go.
