Mike D'Antoni's brother -- Dan -- out after 10 seasons at Marshall. Didn't say whether it was a resignation or a firing -- but he's 76, so might have been time.

Assistant Cornelius Jackson will take over, so no program will lose its coach to the Herd.

Lot of X noise that Andy Enfield may end up at SMU.

Why? Seems like a strange and definite backwards move.

Unless I'm missing that he got fired by USC which I don't think I am.

He must see the writing on the wall if so.  I mean, It had to be internally/externally toxic over there with the season they had plus Bronny and the #1 recruit of the class.  Terrible season.

If this happens, USC will probably try to go big.  The 4 Pac12 teams are definitely gonna add an extra element to the B1G.  Everyone is swinging big.

Rumored he’s on the hotseat. Plenty of money to go around at SMU now that they’re on their way to the ACC. Might as well start anew before you’re fired. USC basketball isn’t exactly a top program either.

Richard Pitino is the hot name last night and this am

Have a lot of friends from Louisville, all well connected families to the program. About a week ago I received a text from one along the lines of, “I’d be happy with Richard Pitino, and that’s it”.

Coaching Changes @CoachingChanges

While being stunned to learn that USC has fans, they seem convinced that Andy to SMU is absurd. Something to consider. Andy likes $ way more than he ever liked and Dallas housing is like 1/3 of LA and Texas has no state income tax. Do we think it’s happening? ~70% yes.

This combined with the fact that making a lateral/slight downgrade can "reset the clock" on job time...seems like a move.

It's really sounding like Richard Pitino is the guy at Louisville. That's just an insane move right? I'm not looking at this wrong?

UL fanbase: "Let's make Jay Wright, Billy Donovan, and Scott Drew say no, and if we flame out we'll have to settle for Dusty May."

Reality:

Absolute insanity. Good mid major coach but idk he can succeed at high level.

Agreed. And that isn't even the crazy part. Bad coaches get hired all the time. Hiring the son of the guy that cratered your program?! I am baffled lol.

Yeah seems wild. Maybe we can pouch Sampson's son from Houston.

I like that hire for them. They'll continue to suck and would make IU look less dysfunctional in comparison.

I agree, wild hire given prior history of his dad and where they started their search.

But there is a contingent of UofL fans that would absolutely love this.
