Mullins? Seriously?

Yeah he sucked at his job as well.   NBA guy with 0 college basketball coaching experience failed.    Add him to the list of failed ex nba guys that sucked as college coaches.

Does anyone else find it strangely coincidental that the HH podcast drops pretty much torching MMW and suddenly "Kathy with a C" suddenly appears?

We're being punked by a troll, guys.

Disagree I said the HH was the beginning in an orchestrated effort to turn the fanbase solidly against Woodson. This is the pathetic attempt to answer that salvo.

Define what a successful season would be.

For this team, a top three conference finish and a berth in the Sweet Sixteen. I’d be shocked if that happens however. Building a roster of portal guys offers too many opportunities for things to get off the rails. We’ll see if that’s what happens.

We locked in on Miller, to the exclusion of anyone else and to the whispers that he wasn’t ready for a big time job. Quite a few people knew he was a long shot. Woodson was as ready as Miller, if not more so.

Cathy, respectfully put the bottle down.  Miller was a "hot commodity" was going to get is chance at IU or elsewhere.  Woodson was out of left field and still doesn't understand the college game.

Nope.

Miller had coached in a college program before. He had recruited. He had won. Woodson had done NONE of those... pretty much still hasn't.

Miller was far from a sure thing. We didn’t look beyond him and it hurt us badly. Had we been more diligent, he’d have never been hired. It was a failure of leadership.

Yeah, they're new and still getting to know one another... unlike a team like Louisville who has a new coach AND twelve new guys... a team who kicked our arse.

After the Louisville debacle, I fired off an email to Dolson. This was his reply:

Mike,

Thank you for your email and for sharing your disappointment with the IU Men’s Basketball program and with Coach Woodson. As I’m sure you can appreciate, I have received other emails voicing similar sentiments to yours, and time constraints prevent me from responding to each and every point that you have made. But I want to at least assure you that I have received and read your email and take your concerns to heart.

I also want to note that I share your belief that the program should be competing at a much higher level than we displayed during our trip to the Bahamas. With that said, it’s only the first week of December. I believe that we have a great deal of talent on this year’s roster, and that this team will have every opportunity to come together in the next several months and compete at the level that we all expect for the program both within the Big Ten and in the NCAA Tournament.

Again, thank you for contacting me to voice your frustrations.

And we didn’t learn a thing from it when it came to the Woodson hire.

That’s even funnier. Do you honestly believe any of your post or are you really that detached from reality?

Sadly, it's not unlike the plethora of canned responses many of us received to our notes to the AD last season. Nothing has changed on any front.

It happens. It was awful. It was also one game in late November and hardly cause for people to flip out.
