Thought I would also provide the format for how the tournament works. I believe it is top 16 that get to host a regional.

After 3 1/2 innings Hoosiers hold a 4-1 lead after Copeland escaped from a bases loaded situation unscathed.  Louisville scored its run on a solo HR by the very first batter Copeland faced.  Stone with an RBI single in our first tied it up.  We picked up another run in the 2nd on a Benson RBI single.  We picked up 2 more in the 3rd on consecutive solo HRs from Stone and Copeland.

4-3 Hoosiers win and advance.

Louisville got a run in the 6th and a leadoff HR in its 7th.  Copeland got the next batter to ground out but then walked the tying run  and that brought Macy Montgomery in to pitch.  A force out at second and a ground out ended the game.

We had 10 hits in the game as Stone and Benson each went 2-3.

We play tomorrow at 1:00 against the winner of Northern KY vs Tennessee

Thought a couple pitches on that walk were awfully close ... Regardless, we got out of it.

Winners' bracket -- it's like, better than the losers' bracket! (paraphrasing Nuke LaLoosh).

Mother Nature may not be in a very cooperative mood today,.  Current forecast indicates rain moving in around 1:30 and hanging around until 10:00 pm. and radar indicates quite a wide band of rain located just west of Knoxville.

We're going with Copeland again today.  Game to be televised on ESPN+.
