A newish podcast with CWat and Elston I had missed

Just in case others might be in the same situation as myself, not knowing about this podcast, I wanted to reference it here.

It's the Beyond the Big Ten podcast, most episodes are IU focused (Ball from Assembly Hall) and are hosted by Christian Watford and Derek Elston. You can find it via this: Linktree

The most recent episode was a post-season interview with Miller Kopp. It was very interesting, especially because it was a player to player conversation - which is a bit lacking in most IU coverage. It was also pretty funny hearing confirmation about Crean literally never shooting once during Christian and Derek's time at IU.

Good discussion. Also mentions toughness and culture and mentions Houston and Kelvin Sampson as good examples that display those attributes.

Yep - that’s the one. Looked on YouTube for a clip of that but couldn’t find it.

Too bad Sampson couldn’t behave himself. There’s a lot to like about his coaching.

Unless he changed some, he really should've just stayed in the pros. He can coach but from his time at IU it appears that basketball is the only part of being a college coach he cares about. He didn't care about academics or anything off the court.
