IUWBB 2023 B1G Tournament - March 1-5, 2023

Still not exactly sure how the women's bracket and seedings works with there just being two regional sites.

I would believe we're still a No. 1, but had been projected for Greenville. Wonder if this could send us to Seattle instead?

There is still 4 regions of 16 teams but instead of 4 regional sites there are 2

Jesus. The color commentary gal for Iowa is insufferable. I met friends for the ISU game so had the IU game on Sirius in the car. Now it's Iowa since they are the home team. Openly complaining about the officials. Laughing. Literally laughing and saying how bad the calls against Iowa are. Makes me want to stab my ears.

Iowa taking it to Maryland early. We are a better team than Iowa, but I would not want them as the 2 seed in our region. If I had to guess, 1 seeds are SC, IU, LSU, and Stanford if Maryland does lose this game.

With LSU losing, they may be off the 1 line now. No one wants a 1 seed apparently. Possible Iowa could claim the last one with a win tomorrow now.

Just watched the post game presser with CTM and Grace. Grace was upset for sure. But, it made me think. Everyone talks about time off. And how it could hurt the flow of the game. But, why not look at it like the beginning of the season? You bang and bang and bang on each other in practice until that first November game. Why should this point in the year be any different? Be it men's or women's? Rest. Rehab. Come out strong again! Just my 2 pennies worth.

Regardless of what happens in March Madness Tournament IU Ladies at 27 wins and 3 losses and at worst will be 27 and 4 and realistically 28, 29, or 30 and 4 are an excellent top ten team in the country (in reality all except a couple or three teams fluctuate in the top dozen or so in rankings and who are the best in this era).
In IU Ladies situation now there is the Holmes situation (and maybe others as T.Moren eluded to…besides Brown not sure what she was referring to).  It won’t be known much about any injury issues as T. Moren keeps any kinds of issues and circumstances inside the program.  Even Iowa was kind of ugly and Ohio State was uglier…Not long ago ECSTATIC would describe  this kind of season.  Now, with winning and what this IU Ladies basketball program has become is a testament from (comments about performance) to it’s EXPECTATIONS in the second decade of the 21st century of IU Ladies basketball.

If there is a positive. We found the only way other teams ( minus South Carolina) can hang with us. We have a few days to fix how we approach the press and we should be off and running.

Also, it's one extra day of rest.  The Big Ten regular season title should give us the edge as far as locking up a #1 seed.

I think there is a high probability of a sweet sixteen.  There could be more to it rather than off and running.  A major concern is Holmes that could linger.
Also noted:  Ohio State shot 3 ball in first half and hardly any effort to rebound ball and seemed pretty content with that.  Then, it became really apparent that Holmes was not her healthy self in a lot of ways… Of course things changed in half number two.

OSU is down 35-11 to Iowa. Right where the Buckeyes want them.

The big ten tournament seems to be circling all the way back to pre season predictions with Iowa on top.  IU Ladies were pre-season 2nd and/or 3rd pick and great during the regular season with a Big Ten Championship.
