IUBB vs Purdue: 2/25 @7:30 on FOX

Recommended Posts

I've bashed Fino countless times on this board.  Tonight was a phenomenal game.  He played a smooth game, didn't force anything, looked for his teammates, and hit big shots.  This was his best game for us and I'll thank him for this win if I ever meet him

I think that was Mike Woodson’s best coaching job of. The season. Time management, dealing with the foul situation, out of timeout killer plays, and his preparation was top notch! TG.   Did an amazing job on Smith all night. Great adjustments on Edy in the second half as well! This was a signature win…IU can be a 3 seed with a strong finish!

Also the move in the first half to go away from the TJD right block post-up that wasn't working and hand the game to JHS against Purdue's drop coverage.

I really hope Xavier is ready for these last two games. He needs time to shake off the rust before the postseason.

Integrate him back into the mix fully over the next two weeks and our upside is considerable.

Jalen Hood-Schifino on FOX postgame: 'We got them (Purdue) twice this year. It's perfect.'

Alec Lasley - Jalen Hood-Schifino in two wins vs Purdue this season: 51 points on 22-of-39 from the floor in 71 minutes.

Christian Watford - JHS going one and done does more for our program going forward than him staying another year!

At this point, it’s best we don’t add him to the mix. He’s basically starting over and there’s zero chance he gets up to speed with 2 games. Ride JHS and TG. Sucks to think what could have been.

Let’s keep doing this. We had a balanced attack on offense, they didn’t hit their wide open threes and missed a lot of freebies at the line! Heck of a rebounding effort (minus a few defensive possessions) in the second half.

For the most part though, we have the wide open 3's to the right guys. We defended Smith and Loyer really well, running them off the 3pt line, while giving 3's to guys like Morton, Gillis and Jenkins.

We had one mistake late on Loyer, but we game planned who had the open 3's. It wasn't random.

Even him coming off the bench is a huge upgrade
