Class of '66 Old Fart

IUBB @ Northwestern - Wednesday, 2/15/23 @ 9:00 ET on BTN

Look we weren't going to win out. That also doesn't mean this kind of effort is ok. Some of these guys have done this far to often over the years. Hopefully we dominate Second half and pull this out. However it just seems like we have no fight this game

TJD simply does not look right tonight. I don't recall seeing him challenge a single NW player at the rim, he looks slow and indecisive on offense, and he looks like he is glued to the floor on rebounds.

He’s gettin’ the ever livin’ caca beat out of him and gets NO calls!

He gets hammered every time he gets the ball.

This will never happen but if we don’t make a solid dent in their lead by the under 8, give TJD a rest.

I was just about to post I would bench him for the second half, but I know that would never happen.

Gunn played 14 minutes in the first matchup at Assembly. He could likely offer the same things that Bates gave IU in the first half. Bates scoring upside is pretty high (Michigan St) - but how often do those games happen?

Outside of Assembly Hall, not often.  Inside, enough to warrant the minutes.

Don't know what it is but the pattern is there.

Just frustrated. Banks and Gunn were pretty fun in flashes and nights like tonight when Kopp and Bates are offering little I just wish they could get an opportunity

Saw someone saying they gave northwestern an extra free Throw for the technicals. That it should have only been 3, not 4…
Curious, can anyone confirm?
One was class a and one was class b. I don't know what that means but maybe that's why the question? And let's be honest that was the moment the tent was folded up on this one.

I’d be worried about Gunn against this NW defense tonight, but you’d think Banks has to be able to provide some of that dirty work like he did against Purdue. I 100% do not need to see any more of Tamar tonight.
