EYBL session 2 schedule. There is clearly some kind of anti-IU conspiracy at play: Friday night,  Mustaf, Aaron Swartz, Haralson, Sisley, Caleb Wilson, McNeeley and Marcus Allen are all playing at the same time and none of them are playing each other. Kenya and Ya better be wearing the track shoes.

Interesting tidbit: the Strive for Greatness EYBL program, which was basically created around Bronny James, is pulling the plug on their 17U team, effective immediately. They have no high end talent this year and got wiped last weekend.

They payout has already occurred.  Just like Romeo Langford's AAU program.

Indiana associate head coach Kenya Hunter is at the Under Armour event in Rock Hill, South Carolina watching Derik Queen and others.

Indiana assistant coach Brian Walsh will be at the Nike Elite Youth Basketball League (EYBL) in Phoenix, Arizona, beginning this evening.

Jamie Shaw on UAA's opening night.  Teams played 2 games on Friday.

Derik Queen is very skilled, and at 6-foot-9 it is the skill level pops. He did a majority of his work today on the low block. He showed solid patience with the ball in his hands with an array of counters, finishing with both left and right hands.

Queen also showed more pop today. The No. 15 player in the 2024 On3 Industry Ranking finished with multiple dunks in traffic, including one that was chest to chest with an opposing post player. Queen pushed the break off the rebound and played very efficiently within himself in this setting. He was a force on the block and got most of what he wanted on the day.

Maryland head coach Kevin Willard and assistants from Seton Hall and Michigan were at both games.

 

The physical development of Bryson Tiller catches your eye first. He has broad shoulders with long arms and a good motor. The rebounding pops immediately. He chases the boards on both ends of the floor, and tracks well.

Offensively, he plays well from the high post. Able to get downhill in straight lines and finish through contact. He got to the free throw line a good bit here, and the production was really the key with him. Tiller played with Overtime Elite this season.

Peterson dropped 46 in this game. Like Flagg and Boozer in EYBL, Peterson has no business playing 16’s.

Malachi Moreno was doing it all this weekend at 3SSB Session 2, averaging 14 PPG, 10 RPG, & 3 BPG.

2nd evaluation stats for our EYBL offers are below.  Next evaluation period is over the 4th of July holiday.  EYBL does have events scheduled for May 12-14 in Dallas and May 26-29 in Memphis.  Don't know the exact nature and make-up of the events or if they'll provide player stats.
