Class of '66 Old Fart

(2024) - SG Gicarri Harris to Purdue

Recommended Posts

6'4" Harris attends Grayson HS in Loganville, GA.  He played AAU for the 16U Atlanta Celtics on the Adidas circuit.  PUke is heavily recruiting him and has a very strong "in" as Harris is the son of of former Boilermaker Glenn Robinson.  In their latest rankings, 247 has him #122 and Rivals at #82.

In the Hudl link below, the first game highlighted back in February was against Jakai Newton's team.

Commentary on Harris from On The Radar Thanksgiving Showcase - The 6’4″ guard out of Grayson, Gicarri Harris, is a man among boys. It’s hard to believe Harris is only a junior as it always seems his play looks effortless. Harris can beat you in a multitude of ways and was one of the more impressive rebounders I saw in his relentless fight to always come up with the ball. Harris finished with 24 in the win over Tri-Cities and I expect Grayson to make a very deep run once March hits. Harris has multiple high major D1 offers.

More on Harris from On The Radar Thanksgiving Showcase - Harris struggled in the Rams match-up with Pebblebrook at the OTR Tip-Off Classic last Saturday. Foul trouble limited his minutes and ultimately kept him from impacting the game like we have come to expect from the 6-4 guard. All of that changed on Wednesday night as he led all scorers with 24 points in a win over Tri-Cities. Harris played the game at full throttle leading his team to a 26-point victory. He disrupted the opponents’ offense by jumping passing lanes He was equally as effective on the offensive end by splitting defenders and attacking the rim in transition.
