This was not a kid that we had been actively recruiting for a long time.  Our offer was made on July 1, and he had already ruled us out on Aug. 17, when he announced his top 11.

Self got one of his 56 offers for the 2023 class to say yes instead of no.   All kidding good pickup for them.    Miami and Notre Dame were probably on him the longest only to have Kansas offer July 17th and get his commitment in October.

Yeah, the scouts seemed to love him down the stretch. DHS too. One of the good things of enjoying college basketball is you get to follow some of these recruits a little closer. The more you follow recruiting the more interesting all the games are.
