Posted yesterday in the AAU thread.

Eric Bossi on Fland from the first day of the Pangos All-American Camp --

Sunday night was a good one for Johnuel Fland. Better known as Boogie, the 6-foot-2 point guard was committed to playing solid, fundamentally sound basketball and he did a nice job in several areas.

Fland found teammates with crisp passes, he hit on a handful of pretty jumpers from three and did some nice things to control tempo when the ball was in his hands. Unfortunately, not everybody on his team was in that same mode and they suffered a good old fashioned come-from-ahead loss by taking some really suspect shots down the stretch of a game they had well in hand.

Though he hasn’t announced them publicly, Fland confirmed to 247Sports that he’s recently added offers from Indiana and Michigan. Also, he’s planning to use the month of June to fit in a handful of visits to programs that are within a few hours of his home in New York. Among the places he said he’s planning to stop by are Connecticut, Rutgers, Seton Hall, St. John’s, and Villanova.

Stepinac (10-6) with a 68-64 win over Christ The King (12-4).  The announcers said Boogie had 31 but I only had him for 30 shooting 9-17 FG; 5-9 on 3s; 7-9 FT.  He added 6r; 5a; 2t.  He's an 82% FT shooter on the year,

Boogie scored 10 pts. in the 1st Q; scoreless in the 2nd missing 5 shots.  On fire in the 3rd scoring 15 pts.  Never took a breather.  Picked up 2 1st Q fouls; 1 in the 3rd and his 4th early in the 4th Q.

Kid’s a good, good player. Such a broad skill set. Can play in any system at any pace. Defends ok. Hard to get a much higher floor than Fland’s.

Do we even have a 5% chance with him?

No idea. But the only 2 ‘24 PG’s with an IU offer are Fland and Travis Perry. Since Woody visited Fland himself, and it’s not like he could parley that one with a golf trip,  they must think they have some shot.
