Well, we tried to give it away but held on for an 8-7 win.  We led 8-4 after 8, but Tucker gave up a 3-run HR in the 9th to make it interesting.  We had 12 hits.  Pyne with 3 RBI; Doanes and Tibbits with 2 each.  NE had 9 hits off 3 IU pitchers  and we gave up 5 BB and hit 2 batters.  Today's game scheduled to start at 2:00.

Hoosiers win 8-1.  We had 13 hits on the day with Whalen going 4-5 and 3 RBI.  Pyne 3-5 and 3 RBI.  Mathison 2-4 and an RBI.  Our pitching really held up well today.  Brehmer started and went 6 innings giving up just 3 hits and 3 BB while striking out 11.  Bothwell and Sharp finished mound duties.  Sunday's game has a noon start.

19-7 was the final score as Nebraska scored in every inning but the 2nd pounding our pitching staff for 20 hits which included 3 HRs all of Kraft who gave up 7 runs in just 1.2 innings.  We scored our 7 runs off 10 hits.  Tuesday night at 6:30 we play Butler at Victory Field in Indianapolis.  We'll be at home again next weekend hosting the Illini.
