Class of '66 Old Fart

(2023) - PF Arrinten Page to USC

Recommended Posts

Samad Hines on spring stock risers --

2023 F Arrinten Page (Wheeler, GA) – Around this time last year, Arrinten Page was mostly an unknown and just local prospect out of the state of Georgia. Now schools like LSU, Ole Miss, USC, Alabama, Cincinnati, Missouri, SMU, Georgia, and others have offered the 6-foot-9 forward. It is without question that Arrinten Page is one of this spring’s biggest stock-risers and has proven so through out the last two months. He has shown consistent production in the EYBL through two session with The Skills Factory (GA). Page is a consistent finisher inside, makes his presence defensively, a lob catcher, an athletic forward, and shows some flashes of his offensive versatility. An outstanding pick and roll finisher with a football like frame.

Update from Schumann on Page’s recruitment. Has visited USC and Mizzou and is going to Cincinnati after this weekend’s event. Planning to visit IU after the EYBL season, so 2nd week in July at the earliest, assuming his team doesn’t make the Peach Jam.

“Coach Ya is texting me almost daily,” Page said. “He is a cool dude. I like (Indiana’s) organization and how they are like a family and connected. I was excited about it (the Indiana offer).”

Arrinten Page

There may not be a true big man that will have a more prominent effect on the 7A landscape than Page, and even with the likes of national force and top 2023 guard Isaiah Collier, talented yet mercurial Jalani Reynolds and 2024 6-10 transfer Josh Hill among others who will garner much attention too, it seems to me Page’s play can separate the Wildcats from a crowded largest division pack. In the classic sense of a dominant frontcourt force does Page remind, back to the days of guys like Olajuwon, Robinson and Duncan, where the centerpiece of the team was actually the center. Now we’re not headed back to the 1990-2000 era by any means, but Page’s ability to score at such an efficient clip and dominate the painted area at both ends can be the kind of force at the HS-level that is nearly impossible to game plan for. Offers from Missouri and Indiana have come most recently to join Xavier, Alabama and Cincinnati.

Scheduled an official visit.  Not sure exactly when.  Would be a great, great addition to ‘23.

Not heard a date but I think its next week but could be way off.

July 27-28th.   Big couple weeks for IU.  3 of their top targets will be on campus for officials.

Check out Page’s comments about Mizzou and then imagine for a minute how he’ll react to an IU visit.

Below that is a story about a recruit named Jizzle James...lol.
