Watched both games this morning. Setting aside the obvious tools, the kid just plays. Didn’t get frustrated at all by Snider’s junk D or Westfield beating him up pretty good. Just played through it. Also, really good stamina. That’s a long day and at no point did he look winded. Pretty impressive, though the announcers really need to put away the Shawn Kemp comps for a minute.

He moves really well for a kid his size/age. Pretty darn quick and agile. Gives you hope that as he continues to grow (height and weight wise) it won't hinder him.

Maxpreps shows him as class of 2024 and it doesn't look like he has 247, Rivals, etc. yet.  Can anyone confirm if the thread title is correct or is he actually a 2024 kid? I think he just came to Indiana at the beginning of the season so I wondered if potentially there was movement with his classification or something.

He's a sophomore so it should be 2024

Cliff's Notes summary:

Bidunga in foul trouble most of the game.  Sat out the final 7 min. of the 1st half after picking up his 2nd foul.  #3 with 2:30 left in the 3rd and #4 with 48 sec. left in the 3rd.   It was 34-29 Kokomo after 3 quarters but reports indicated Kokomo made stupid fouls and bad TOs and Chesterton tied it at 40 with 4:21 remaining.  Bidunga was on the bench during this time.  Score remained at 40 all until Chesterton played for the last second shot which Bidunga blocked but Chesteton with the offensive rebound and a Kokomo foul.  Chesterton made both FTs with 7.4 sec. left but then fouled Kokomo with 1.7 sec. left.  Shayne Spear missed the first and missed the 2nd intentionally and the ball went out of bounds off Chesterton with .4 sec. left but Kokomo couldn't pull it out and the final  is 42-40 Chesterton.

In all, Bidunga sat out roughly 11 min. of the game and still finished with 11p  10r  4b

Jamie Shaw on this past weekend's Adidas event.

Most Valuable Player

6-9 PF Flory Bidunga

It was hard not to be mesmerized by the explosive and powerful Flory Bidunga. The 6-foot-9 forward burst on the scene during the first live recruiting period a couple of weeks ago, and the 2024 forward’s play has not slowed down.

The Indiana Elite 16u team went 4-0 for the session. It was hard not to notice Bidunga’s vicious dunks and his menacing rebounding prowess. He moves differently, powerfully yet fluidly, from most players his size. The native of The Congo finishes through contact with regularity. They played the last game of the last day; Kermit Davis (Ole Miss), Matt Painter (Purdue), and Micah Shrewsberry (Penn State) all stuck around to watch. Expect a high ranking in On3’s next 2024 update.
