Favorite Rob Phinisee moments of the night continued:

When Trayce  stepped to the line for the second of the two free throws with five seconds left, Woodson is frantically yelling instructions at Phinisee.

Phinisee makes eye contact with Woody, gives him a thumbs up, smiles, and winks. Take a look. It is the confidence and trust they’ve instilled crystallized in one excellent moment.

Yep, I haven’t seen much out of a few guys this season but when they were needed most they were amazing!

It was honestly remarkable to see. I know next to nothing about him but everything I have seen has given me the impression that he’s just a great kid. The effort is always there so I thoroughly enjoyed him putting in a shift tonight.

Perfect kind of game for him. Fellow big bodies that are less effective going around or through Durr. Wisconsin officials would have had him in foul trouble but he did great holding his ground and getting some points. Mainly though their bigs just became other guys because of Durr.

I can't emphasize enough how much I love the way CMW works with the kids. Not sure I've ever seen a more genuine coach. That has to resonate with the parents of the kids he is recruiting.

Do I remember this right? Near the end of the 1st half, time is running out on the shot clock.  IU misses and Phin grabs the rebound underneath the basket. Can't shoot up..covered.  Dribbles out the right side of the lane to the 3 line.  Shoots!   HITS!!

The composure on Phin and the clutch play...been yearning for this with him.  To say that I'm surprised...yeah...mostly.  Pleased...yeah.  Relieved...true.

POTFB!  A team win!  Indiana has now knocked off 2 top 5 teams this season. Weapons: Guard Play; defense; team play; low turnovers.  Props to Galloway, Durr, Xavier, Geronimo, Race and Coach Woody!

I always thought Durr was primarily a situational recruit, one recruited specifically to battle Edey, Williams and Cockburn. It was nice to see him show out tonight.

What was amazing is that Durr played 24 minutes and didn't have a rebound.  His stat line didn't tell the real story -- 4 points, 2 blocks, 2 steals.  What was incredibly helpful was the rest of the team hit the boards well and Durr was basically in there to provide a speed bump against their bigs.  It probably was the best match up for him all year which is insance because Purdue's bigs are so good.  But normally Durr's issue is getting beat off the dribble by opposing bigs and in the case of Purdue, their bigs want to bang.

The combo of PU big men scored a combined 8 points, I think, after TJD went out with his second foul. They were like 90% of their points before Durr came in. Big speed bump.
