not really maybe Bama and Auburn

Auburn apparently was still recruiting him after he had originally committed to Oregon -- Auburn's head coach visited him before a game in October.  Tanner's father played quarterback at Auburn and his grandfather was in Bear Bryan's first recruiting class at Alabama.  That said, with him being an Alabama kid and originally committing to Oregon, I'm not sure he is intent on staying in Alabama.

247 transfer analyst scouting report on Bailey:

Smaller framed quarterback at just over 6-foot tall, and about 190 pounds. Natural pocket passer with some functional mobility but not a downfield running threat. Immense intelligence passing the football and understanding spacing and timing. Has the right trajectory on the football. Anticipatory and above average accuracy. Very adept throwing the short to intermediate passing game and has nice touch on the outside planes. Easy stroke and release. Doesn't have a cannon but makes up for it with accuracy and ball placement. Makes a high percentage of advanced level seam throws between defenders. Tough player that took his team to a championship as a junior and played banged up.

FWIW, the best offensive attacks we've had at IU (with the exception of the Antwaan Randle-El years) had quarterbacks that fit this mold -- quick throws that utilize the QBs intelligence and accuracy.  We won two years ago with Penix at QB, but it really was a just above average offense coupled with a really good defense that did the trick.
