Is there anyone we think we are close to getting a commitment from?

I would say the most positive things right now are Maleek Thomas and EJ Walker both taking two visits, fairly close to their first visit…may be nothing but feels positive that they wanted to come back so soon.

New normal. Trentyn Flowers, who’s a top 10ish ‘24 playing with Rakease Passmore this year, is at his 4th school in 2 years and nobody bats an eye. He just got a UK offer today. That being said, everything I’ve seen and read on Tucker tends to convey kind of a different kid. Don’t mean it negatively, just sayin’.

Travis Branham at Holiday Hoopsgiving -

Bryson Tucker & Co. flex their muscle with a blowout win

Bishop O'Connell made the trip down to Atlanta to take on one of the top programs in the southeast in Oak Ridge HS out of Florida.

It didn't take long for Bryson Tucker and his team to take control of the game and begin building a strong lead.

Tucker, a top 30 prospect in the senior class, continued to show how he is improving as a three-level scorer from an efficiency standpoint.

He used his size and improved athleticism to create off the dribble, get to the rim and make his shots from mid-range.

He also got some help from two other standout performers in sophomore guard Quincy Wadley and a fellow available senior Jadyn Harris.

Wadley continues to show why he is among the best in 2026 with his length, shooting and improving athleticism while Harris used his motor to rebound and score inside 15-feet.

Tucker finished with 20 points and four-rebounds, shooting 9-of-16 from the field.

2024 Bishop O'Connell (VA) G/F Bryson Tucker:   22p (9-15 FG, 1-3 3P, 2-5 Ft), 4r in a 59-58 loss to Brewster Academy.   Brewster has PUke's latest 7-footer Daniel Jacobsen who sat out the entire 4th Q except for the last inbound play of the game.  He was not much of an offensive threat but as you'd expect grabbed rebounds and blocked/altered shots.

Jamie Shaw on Tucker at the Beach  Ball Classic -

The shot-making ability popped immediately for Bryson Tucker. The 6-foot-7 guard stepped into mid-range jump shot after mid-range jump shot and the other team simply could not stop it. Tucker has an understanding of the spots he wants to get to on the floor. He sharply gets to each spot and his elevation and release point allow him to get high above the defense’s attempts. Tucker has an excellent frame with long arms. His release can get a little sideways when his shot extends out to three. In most possessions, he would rather pull up than attack the rim, but his balance and pace, allow those shots to be very dangerous. Tucker finished with 27 points, going 5-10 from three in the championship game win.

Reported that he is visiting this week. Was destined for the now-folded Ignite.

Would be a very high ceiling, semi-developmental freshman. Borderline 5 star 6'7" wing. Athlete, some guard skills.

Best candidate so far for the "almost-end-of-the-cycle highly-rated freshman" pickup?
