Pretty sure IU can’t, within the rules, make any TV/streaming arrangements FWIW.

You may be right, but I remember exhibition games in past years being televised.

Is a medical redshirt different rules? Didn't Bohanon at Iowa play like 10 games a couple seasons ago before deciding to have back surgery? I thought I remember there being talk of him having to decide after a certain game if he was going to keep playing or take the redshirt.

Yes, medical basketball redshirt rules are different than “regular” redshirt rules. In basketball you can play up to 1/2 regular season and still take a medical redshirt.

In regards to “regular” redshirts…Coach K caught some crap a couple of years ago when he took Joey Baker off redshirt in a late season game but only played him for a few minutes. When K was asked after the game about burning Bakers redshirt year he claimed he did not even know what that term meant. Bakers total season stats, in the year K burned his redshirt, was 1-4 from the field.

Unless they changed the rule, they're allowed to play in 30% of the season and must happen in the first 1/2 of the season. So with a 30 game schedule, they can play 9 of the first 15 games before getting a season ending injury.

But that may have changed.

I read the blurb below but think you might be right. In any case it’s still odd that a football player can play in 4 games and still take a regular redshirt while a basketball player can’t even play one second and redshirt. …….

Athletes can seek a medical redshirt if they suffered a season-ending injury before the midway point of their respective season. If a player suffers a season-ending injury early in the year but already used their redshirt, they can still apply for a waiver which would give them a sixth year of eligibility

The ‘79 Woody  would have spun to his left shoulder and kissed about an 8 footer off glass.  The ‘21 Woody looks like he’s about to settle for a 17 foot fadeaway. Doesn’t matter. He’d make’em both.

Woody in the Bahamas is smooth.

The last time we had an Indiana coach in the tropics it looked like this:

BC Mega's pre-game article. I'm mainly posting this cuz they refer to us as 'the famous Indiana University' multiple times. Trademark that.

Last sentence of the article:  Unfortunately, there will be no television broadcast of the match against University of Indiana, but you will be able to follow the live statistics via links that will be published on Mega’s profiles on social networks.
