Because of expected bad weather on Saturday, teams will play doubleheaders on Friday and on Sunday.

Friday: 4PM ET/6:30 ET

Sunday: 12PM ET/2:30 ET

Hoosiers lose the first game of today's doubleheader 7-5.   Illinois led 5-0 after 2 innings and added 2 more runs in the 5th.  We scored 2 in the 4th on a 2-run Bella Norton HR.  We added 1 in the 5th on an rbi single by Lambert followed by 2-run scoring double by Jenkins.  Hoosiers finished with 5 runs on 4 hits, 2 errors, 4 LOB.    Goodin started and lasted less than 2 innings giving up 6 hits and 5 runs.  Linton replaced her and pitched 2.2 innings allowing 1 run on 2 hits, she walked 2 and hit 2 batters.  Montgomery finished the final 1.2 innings.  Second game should start at 6:30.

Illinois leads 1-0 after 2 complete in game #2 on a solo HR off Goodin.

Hoosiers pick up a run in their half of the 3rd on an rbi single by Jenkins.   Tied at 1-1 after 3 full innings.

Illinois gets a run in the 4th and leads 2-1.  

In the top of the 5th, Hoosiers put runners on 1st and 2nd with 2 outs and Bella Norton blasts a home run to left center and Hoosiers take a 4-2 lead after 5 complete innings.

Score still 4-2 after 6 innings.

Now 5-2 as Lambert leads off the Hoosier 7th with a solo HR to right field which brings in a new Illinois pitcher.   Jenkins draws a walk and Radcliffe smashes a 2-run HR to left field and it's now a 7-2 Hoosier lead and we have another Illinois pitching change.

Final score 7-2 and Hoosiers salvage a split on the day.  Women scored 7 runs on 9 hits, committed 1 error and left 7 on base.  Goodin went the distance giving up 2 hits, walked 5, struck out 6.  Doubleheader on tap for Sunday.

Hoosiers drop the first game of today's doubleheader 2-0.  Goodin went the distance allowing 8 hits, walked 1, struck out 2.  We had 6 hits - 2 were Bella Norton doubles - we left 9 on base.

In game 2, Hoosiers lead 1-0 midway thru the 5th.  Thus far we've been held to 3 hits but one was a solo HR by Brooke Benson in the 5th.  Foor pitching and has given up 4 hits, walked 1 and struck out 3.

Brooke Benson's home run holds up and Hoosiers win the second game 1-0 finishing with just 3 hits for the game.  Foor pitched 6 innings and Goodin closed out the Illini in the 7th but not without a little too much drama.  With 2 outs, she hit a batter and then wild pitched the runner to 2nd.  Fortunately, a ground out to second ended the game and preserved the win for Foor.  

Hoosiers will be back in Bloomington next weekend for a 4-game series with Michigan State.
