I'm definitely not an expert but according to Lewis's bio on the UCLA site, he was a graduate assistant under Knight for two years at Texas Tech so I misread that. It was a grad asst. position not an assistant coach position.

He went to Butler as an assistant coach in 2011 and Stevens was there until 2013.

But the main point I was offering is that there may be some pretty good reasons for some to think Michael Lewis could be a better coaching candidate than Dane Fife, and, I think highly of both of them.

Well, let's see...won on the road, beat Purdue (almost twice), win a BIG10 tournament game against a team that we have lost nine straight to, plus, looks like a March Madness bid! I'd say that CMW has had a decent year.

Have been doubting Woody and or the staff creation but today marked 3/4 of what I hoped for this year. Limit the games where we just suck and while gave up too many late leads we played a lot of games close. Hopefully when his guys get in that reverses. 2) beat PU. We did that and nearly got them twice. 3) have some suv was in the BT tourney. 4) get to the NCAA.

One more to go. Not sure yet we have the missing pieces coming in next year but I can feel the hope rising.

1. Beat PU
2. Advanced 2 games in the B10T (I think this is right?)
3. Go to the Dance... (more than likely now)

 

Doubt Woody all you want, but for having 3 guys starting that never played for IU before this year, I'd say that's pretty good. Especially since our G play is all over the map

I think it started in '97, so like IUc said...never. Pretty amazing to be so bad at something for 25 years when otherwise pretty good a handful of times in that span.
