I’m sure I’ll get ridiculed for this, but for some reason, I can’t get myself pumped or sold on Dusty as much as I hate to say it and have tried. Besides his one final four run year at FAU, he’s 108-70.

And this is just a question. Not directed at anyone, but a honest question.

If Dusty wasn’t from Terre Haute and went to IU, would everyone want him so bad?

Would I be happy with Dusty. Yes, as long as he wasn’t option 2 or 3.

I feel like May is the most realistic because he clearly would love this job and by the way he structured his buy out to be friendly. That said I’m holding out for Stevens until we get a No.

Louisville and Michigan had to fight for him last year, he was a hot commodity. That said i understand the skepticism, i think he sort of lucked out with Danny Wolf being a pro. All of that being said I would be very happy if he was our next coach.

I'm with ya man! I can't see beyond Brad. Until it's a hard no, he's the only option for me.

Last year. Last year was the time. These clowns gambled. Either dusty fails at michigan or he thrives. I doubt he comes here or any better school imo. HE IS AT MICHIGAN! In the world I grew up in they were the team to beat majority of my life. They had some down years but it's a good gig. He isn't leaving imo.

I for one am definitely on the fence with Dusty . Don’t hate it but feel it’s more f a double than a home run.

I forgot to mention earlier when I was promoting Dusty May, is the concern that Stevens comes here and decides it’s not for him. He will always be on the radar for NBA jobs at all levels. We could then be doing this again 3 years from now, missing out on May, Beard, and others high on the list. I would rather have a guy that definitely wants to be here for the long haul. This a real concern of mine!

In my opinion, IU job isn’t in the same tier as Michigan or Louisville. They might have to fight for him, but IU shouldn’t have to fight with those two for a coach (that has no ties to any school).

Now there is people that know way more about him than I do and have high thoughts on him. They clearly know better than I, so if it is him, I will 100% back him and would love you for you all to be like “nana nana boo boo” to me

First off the part of Greene County he’s from is closer to Bloomington then it is Terre Haute so that’s crazy talk. 
 

He gets IU, no one wins at that school and he grinds all the time like Cignetti. Constantly watching film.

I feel like Dusty would be like only scoring one run when you had the bases loaded and no outs. Not the worse case scenario, but you’re left wanting more.

I would also have to hear more about the event to think the female was the aggressor but that seems a stretch. 
 

Even if he came and had success right away the risk of another drunken problem is not something I would take lightly if I were the AD. Especially if I had Few, May or Pearl as alternatives.

Well that’s what I get for reading his hometown off Wikipedia. A simple google search says “Greene County” everywhere I’ll take the L on that one.

We can keep debating Chris Beard all we want, but here are the facts:

No one truly knows what happened except for Beard and his ex-fiancée. The photos were disturbing, no doubt, but anything beyond that is speculation. I’m not willing to label someone a wife-beater without 1) knowing him personally and 2) having all the facts in front of me.

Another university hired him. Yes, the SEC’s moral compass is questionable at best, but if this situation were as open-and-shut as some on here claim, Beard wouldn’t just be out of a job—he’d be in prison. The fact that he’s coaching in a Power 4 conference suggests there’s more to the story. It isn't as simple as "Ole Miss is a bunch of scumbags that are looking the other way." 

Finally, I actually trust Scott Dolson this time. I don’t have much faith in the rest of our administration, but based on what insiders have shared, it seems like Scott has always had a solid plan—he’s just been limited in what he could do. If IU were to hire Beard, that would tell me Dolson did his due diligence, spoke to the right people, and still felt comfortable moving forward. That’s good enough for me.

Nobody is going to say that about dusty may. He eats, sleeps, and breathes basketball. If he fails, it 100% won't be for the lack of trying

You saw Terre Haute because it’s one of the closest hospitals to BFE Greene County lol.
